In short: No.
It would still be a poor choice for a caster build.
If you were making an alternative melee / range character, you might consider something like that.
You could do a bladeforged: pally/sorc and use the sorc for eldritch knight. However, you would be an alternate melee with lots of self healing instead of a good caster.
About as close as you could get would be a Cleric X / Wizard X Shiradai build.
It uses SLA and Magic Missles to trigger Shiradai procs.
Ineffective as a raid healer, ineffective in crowd control other than nerve venom.
You could have built a Cleric 14 / Monk 6, used the Pinion from your raider's box and done better.
The only way a 10 / 10 caster would be effective would be is Mystic Theurge prestige class appears.
This prestige class allowed you to progress in both classes at character level minus several levels.
I recall a dev post stating that feats doubling up class levels into caster levels was definitely (in their opinion) never coming to ddo.
So don't expect this to happen.
However, Wizard/Sorcerer 18 with Favored Soul 2 is popular atm.
Search for Wizard 12 / Cleric 8 Shiradai whatamacallit build.
A friend of mine built one, some are pondering it.
Have no idea how its works.
13/7 shiradi builds are quite viable, but no abilities fall on 10 so 10/10 doesn't make sense.
I suppose you could go 10arti, 10 whatever. I don't know if arti is technically a 'caster' class. But there are many builds that deep splash it.
