Default Khyberians, I Need Your Help.

I've been playing for around a year and 7 months without taking a break for more than 2-4 days.I have 3 second lifers 1 third lifer and 1 fifth lifer, the rest are in various states of their first life. Those tr's have somewhat decent gear, I settle for Epic Hard instead of EE since it's more affordable. I've held the highest heal before but I've never really learned the value of things or how to price them correctly in the Auction house. Recently as I started progressing to the more difficult content I've been needing more SP Pots, gear and other odds and ends. Also my boyfriend started playing so now I'm supporting 2 accounts.

I would like to know the price of named items, +6, +7, +8 and other valuable items. Ingredients, tomes also. I know that if the person needs it the price will rise but I would like to know any advice and the common/rule of thumb to these prices.

    Thank you all in advance.

    Default Pricing

Well, your best option is to:

    1. Check the regular platinum auction house. Just keep in mind a lot of things get posted on there for unrealistic pricing. So might want to watch and make note what sells, what does not, etc.

    2. Check the astral shard auction house. This is still quite new but can give you an idea of value (in Astral Shards).

    3. Post in "trade" channel in the marketplace or harbor. I only do this when i want to get rid of something right....this....second. If you watch the trade channel passively you will notice the value of stuff from time to time.

    4. Post on the forums (here) but in the "Khyber Marketplace" a list of all the stuff you want to sell/trade, and what you are looking for. It is probably the best way to sell your stuff in my opinion.

Just remember, the value of any item is that which the market will bear. And also remember that pricing changes drastically when new packs come out, for 90% of the previous pack gear.

I would really like to help but I don't really know the price of all that stuff, its subject to change.

Only advice I can give is to look through the khyber marketplace threads and try and form an idea as to what selling and for generally how much.

The needing more pots is a concern. First I'm not going to tell you "You don't need SP Potions to win" enough people will chime in on that. My concern has to do with a potential bad habit of using SP Potions when they are; Not needed, or to supplement poor group play style.

    Questions:
Which of your characters drinks SP potions?
When are you using them? After massive casting of offensive spells? Trying to keep up with Party healing needs?
Do you find yourself with SP after a quest completes (this includes quests where you drank SP potions)?
Are you using Scrolls/Wands to supplement for spells that are not any more effective when cast from SP?
Are you using Scrolls/Wands to supplement your SP when healing?

Are you making sure your boyfriend knows he owes you ?

    Hi,

As a general rule of thumb, major sp pots sell/trade for about 10k pp each. If you are paying more than that, then go somewhere else to buy them because you are getting ripped off. I am generally someone who will waste them the first run or so in a new quest while learning the quests, but never use too many, which is probably why I have around 600 sitting around(some are btc due to birthday cakes)...I've also gotten to the point where if a friend joins, I will throw them 100 csw/lr/curse(etc) pots or some scrolls and wands and a few plat to get them started, depending on the person this could be anywhere from 10 to 50 k pp.

I will also offer to make them some shards on my crafter so they can have some decent starting gear. Tomes, it depends...+1s or 2s can be gotten fairly cheap off the plat AH. If you are in a decent guild, you can probably get them for free if you ask. +3s or 4's expect to pay anywhere from 500k to 2 mil pp per depending on the tome and where you go for them.

Another good bet is to keep reading the forums, I used to run a hide and seek game in the harbor once or twice a year and give away tomes, pots, scrolls, plat, etc. to people who could find me...there are others who do this on occasion as well.

Other than that, I find that just listing what you are looking for in the trade forum and what you have to trade is a good way to get started. Many people around here will barter with you when you ask nicely

Hope this helps, and sorry about the WOT!!
