EE HighRoad - whole chain - 6-way skunk

This happens way more than it doesn't and is why I've stopped bothering to farm these quests. The drops are pathetic, more often then not a 6-way skunk on named loot.

Turbine are your loot tables WAI? If if this is intended is your intention anything more than to annoy your players?

Have to say we rarely pull anything from those quests the drop rates are quite low.

The drop rates are poor, I do these on EH and I finally pulled 1 item - EH Wiz corrosion ward. And that is after many many runs. I'm trying to pull a shadowmail but it's a skunk on normal or hard alike.

What bugs me is not so much low drop rate but the completely busted end reward list that often double or triple the option of the same item. I mean even wards and shadowmails - nothing like getting 2 combustion wards, 3 nether gloves etc.

Every one in my guild that i know of have most of there EE high road gear . Me included ,we pull items so often we just sell em . Sounds like bad luck .

I have terrible luck with those quests so stopped bothering as well. But when I was running them fairly often I've seen the same people pulling EE nameds one after another.

I'm only hoping it's going to turn around with eGH, otherwise I'll probably just give up.

Note: That's not just the Nether chain - I got this same thing on completion of the druid chain a week or so ago - something like 4 wood woad shields and a mnemonic potion (and the commendations)... my repeater/runearm arty was bloody ecstatic.

Seen 1 khopesh drop on EE thats about it same for the druid chain just did a few quests on heroic elite with a full group and no drops for anyone IMO these quests esp druids do not offer good exp so the loot might drop more esp on elite!

Yeah, the XP for Druids Deep is so farking pathetic it is NOT worth running for anything but loot, honestly.

Can't say about EE, but I was pretty lucky on EH runs. Did around 20 runs of Detour until I finally pulled the boots (only seen them drop once more, never saw an orb). To get EH Whisperchain took me only 5-6 runs of solo farming underwater chest only. Didn't farm other quests, just did couple of runs with 2 characters, never saw anything named drop.

So out of 28 runs you saw a total of 3 items drop, and you say you have been lucky? I refuse to farm these anymore until Turbine increase the named drop rates to a reasonable level...

The issue I have with the Druid chain end rewards is that the named items you are given are not epic versions. Both the wall of wood and ivy wraps are level 15 items when obtained via the chain end reward. At that point why bother....

I find it beyond ridiculous that even if you run the entire chain on EE, you are still given only normal end rewards. If you run the entire chain on EN, EH, EE, the end reward for chain completion should reflect the difficulty it was done on.

Or at least an average, such to where if you did a HN on one, but before you complete the chain, you go back and do ti on EN, the EN is the value it uses for the average.
As who says the entier change has to be run at the same difficulty each quest?

Well yes, since it took me about a week to get items I wanted. How much time is needed to get any of the old epics? I never ran them before exp since I didn't have caped toon, but only one I completed in this half a year is docent from spinners chain that I can't use anyway (and I was farming the chain a lot since I want envenomed blade, only got shard so far...)

Drop rates are much higher than the Desert quests with the least items (Offering of Blood, etc).

Probability can get you sometimes. Unlucky streaks of lengths long enough to really annoy you happen.

If these items weren't rare, they'd have little or no value when you do get one. Think how good an item the Elfcrafted Robes are for their level and how insanely cheap they are (or at least the ten relics are) for their power level. Or watch how little flawless blue scales are worth within a fortnight of U17.

If an optional is completed only one run in ten of a quest (say Kron'zek in Big Top, or the 'fight all three Wood Woads' in the Druid's Curse chain on EE) then the drop rate of items in that chest should be 3-5 times higher than the drop rates of other items. Also weapons intended to be dual-wielded should have around double the drop rate of S&B or THF weapons.

Totally agreed. The idea of linking an item to an optional is fine, if and only if the drop rate is compensated for the probability of not being able to hit it and/or the difficulty to achieve it.
