Default The Circle of Night seeks 'uncommon' men and women

The Circle of Night seeks additional ‘uncommon’ men and women to join our ranks. We are a guild of players who with few exceptions have played DDO since launch. We consider ourselves ‘mildly elite’, meaning that we strive to be the best players w/the best gear, but never, EVER, take that goal (or ourselves) too seriously. If you are:

    - 21 or older,
    - Interested in end-game play, or multiple TR’s to improve your character,
    - Have a sense of humor. Be able to take a little prodding (and give it back in SPADES).
    - Looking to run and/or discuss builds, etc w/like-minded players, and
    - (most important) drama-free

…then we encourage you to check out our ‘Joining the Circle of Night’ web page at www.circleofnight.com.

Most of our guildees are 25-45 yrs old, in the North American (US/Canada) Eastern & Central time zones. Almost all have family and professional career distractions that take us away from DDO for hours, days, or sometimes longer, but we keep coming back to the Circle of Night. If this sounds like you, give us a look.

(We also encourage smaller, like minded guilds who may be considering a merger to visit with us as well.)

    Current Guild Level: 163

Ghallanda, thank you for your applications! A few have passed the test and have been accepted into the Circle, yet there remains room for more active, like-minded players.

To those who were not accepted or did not meet the requirements, you are encouraged to apply again once conditions are met. We appreciate your interest and wish you the best!

Thursday nights are dedicated RAID NIGHTS at the Circle of Night. Well, technically EVERY night can be raid night, but each Thursday we dedicate 7:30pm CST (8:30 EST) until whenever to run raids back to back to back.

If you are considering a guild, look up BRANWYNN or CAELROTHAR tonight (1/28/13) or any Thursday. Or, you can PM me here, and we can try to save you a spot on a future night. On the agenda for 1/28 is eVON, CitW and LotB, although that is subject to change.

Come give it a whirl if you think you may be interested!

We just had a new recruit ask us if we noticed a population decline? I replied no, because we have had the same core group of players for six plus years! Growth or lack of hasn't really affected us...

We are still looking for the right person(s) - check out the website at www.circleofnight.com if you think that might be you!

Are you concentrated in the EST zone, or do you have an active group in the European time zones as well?

I'm liking yall's attitude and approach so far, but wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun, especially if raids are run primarily on weekdays.

    Thank you!

We run primarily EST zone but do have some players that play all the time. Usually three to four week day and ten plus during week nights. Most of us have been playing a long time.

Level 99 Guild looking for new guild members or even old guild members who tried new pastures but found out grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Heck sometimes it's artificial grass too!!!

I just updated the initial message to reflect our new guild level and to clarify the type of player we are looking for. Basically, don't be a "donkey's hind-section", have a sense of humor, don't be satisfied with being "average", and be willing to check the drama at the door.

We are also not looking for a MASSIVE influx of members - we have about 20 active members and are growing regularly in guild renown, and would like to keep it that way. A few more like-minded individuals to round out 'guild only' raids and to keep company in our Mumble channel would be ideal.

So if you're guild has let you down, or you are looking to step up your game, give us a look and check us out at our website. The Circle might be right for you.

BUMPZ. What I have seen in Circle of Night so far:

Guildies have a Ton of game knowledge.
    Avid Raiders and TRing.
    Active. Many Play everyday.
We have a private Mumble server to make fun of Caelrothar in.
Fun members who enjoy a laugh.

We are striving to be a solid active medium size guild. We want it's members to be more then "that ranger that plays on Wednesday nights." We want to get to know you and enjoy DDO to its fullest with you.

Personally I am always PUGing and looking to wreck content! I am very open to Invites and enjoy meeting new people and playing with them.

If you are looking to Up your game or be more involved in all the different aspects of DDO, give CoN a look!

Plus we are on Ghallanda server, which everyone in DDO knows that is the most awesome server in game!

    Current Guild Level ~ 132.

Default "Rescuing Players from Bad Guilds Since 2009"

The Circle of Night would like to apologize to the players on Ghallanda. We’ve been selfish.

For years, our guildees have experienced perhaps the best guild experience that Ghallanda has to offer. Most of our guildees have been playing together since before the Circle formed in 2009. We share many a laugh on our guild Mumble channel (a voice chat server that allows us to chat in and outside the game). We raid, we donate to each other, we ensure that each other has the best gaming experience possible. And despite trying new games, taking breaks due to work or family, we always come back to the guild and DDO. It's our 'home away from home (and work)'.

However, we don’t often PUG. We enjoy our own company that we’ve been selfish and don’t group much outside of our own ‘circle’ (pun intended).

That’s changing – we are actively seeking to grow Circle of Night (a level 138 guild as of this typing) and are not passively, but AGGRESSIVELY, seeking new players. Life’s too short to stay in a mediocre guild – give CoN a try!

If we miss you in game, send a tell to Branwynn, Daerius, Khrandok , Fahrn , Alluriaan, or Vharcan and let’s get you out of that dead-end guild and into a place where you belong! New players welcome!!

I can say that I was one of those that had left my guild for CoN. I was in a small guild that wasn't doing much of anything. It was a little scary making that jump (I felt like I was cheating on my wife.. lol), but one I did I never looked back. CoN has been a great place to spend my gaming time. We are not afraid of challenges, we look for creative and fun ways to play the game (recently we spent the evening killing EVERY dragon in the game. All quests were run on Elite if possible), and we share knowledge of the game with each other. Most importantly, we have fun. We joke, we make bad movie references, we definitely make fun of each other (and most of the times... ourselves).

If you see a member of CoN, send a tell if you are interested. We have characters at every level and would love to run with you.

I think this is where I am supposed to pose a picture of our guild doing something cute in a screenshot or a nifty little picture I made in Microsoft Paint to bump my post to the top and somehow inspire you to want to join us.

However, we've been too busy running with new guildees, flattening monsters, and stockpiling treasure & XP to get to that. So, let me get back to you.....

    (P.S. Yep... still recruiting)

Thanks to all of our new recruits - I won't name drop, but you know who you are. Most of us have played DDO together since 2006/7, and fresh blood keeps us from getting stale.

We are still recruiting the following players. If you meet the requirements (below), and are looking for an end-game experience with drama-free adults, apply here: http://www.guildportal.com/ContentCo...GuildID=306433

    • Members should be a minimum age of 21. Sponsored members age 18-20 will be considered. No one under 18 will be admitted regardless of sponsorship by a guild officer or member.

    • It is preferred that members have at least one character of 20th or higher level. Most of our members spend the majority of their time running content designed for end game. We strongly recommend that all applicants have at least one playable character that is level 20 or over, though it is not required.

    • All recruits to The Circle of Night are on an initial trial basis. Recruits may be promoted to full membership only after running several raids and/or quests with one or more officers (known as The Inner Circle). The goal is to ensure that recruits share the guild values as presented on this page.

    • Participation in our MUMBLE Server is a requirement. The Circle of Night is an end-game content focused guild, and we believe that voice is an absolute must for completing raids effectively.

    • The Circle of Night is PREPARED FOR COMPLETION.Our goal is to be respected by other guilds and players for being Prepared for Completion, to teach and inspire new players to be highly effective party members, and to be respectable, valuable members of a raid or party. That doesn't mean that you can merely survive...but that you consistently and proactively contribute to the success of the mission. This will NOT be the right guild for players who will not consistently develop their characters to meet these requirements to excel.
    • Guild Raids are NOT mandatory. However, we expect most members will want to participate whenever possible.

    • VIP & Premium players are welcome. Most of the content we run requires either (1) Premium player status and purchase of the appropriate adventure packs or (2) VIP status.
    • Adepts of the Circle will show respect for each other. Many of us take our gaming strategies VERY seriously. Its part of being 'Prepared for Completion'. However, discuss your differences in a calm, fact focused manner. We're going to pick on each other, and give as good as we get (hopefully!) - that's part of the fun. But don't let it get personal and hateful.
    • Based on class, you may not qualify for every guild raid. Remember, that our mantra is 'Prepared for Completion'. If our raid needs a cleric and all you have available is your barbarian, we're not going to be able to accommodate you. It is recommended that members have multiple characters raid ready (preferably of different classes) to address the issue.

    • It is recommended that you join with all active "Alts" on your account. We would prefer that guild members have all, or the majority of, their active characters in The Circle of Night.

    • Founders in the Inner Circle reserve the right to expel players or recruits at any time for violation of guild principles.
