    Default Dumb ways to die

Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Due to the popularity and hilariousness of this video: http://youtu.be/IJNR2EpS0jw I wanted to ask the community... what are your favorite dumb ways to die in DDO?

    Keep on rockin'!

    Happened this week-end.
Teaching my seven year old son to play DDO, running Gwylan's Stand on elite, (to show him some 'hard' quest as we have been running below level stuff and he was getting cocky) we get to the part with the optional chest.

I am explaining that these traps are not disarmable and *ding* oops I was too close to the acid trap. So get ran back to the shrine, go back and I say "Let's try this again."

Now just about everyone has died in a trap once or twice and while I get kind of mad at myself when I do it, it is no big deal, until you have a seven year old boy tell you, and I quote; "Yeah this time try and explain it while not dying in the trap, ok?"

    Ouch! Burned by the rugrat.

My latest is when I was running my cleric through a quick solo Offering of Blood to flag for Demon Queen. I got to the room with the electrical traps and the underwater tunnel to the shrine, Shrined up and cast Resist Electricity for going through the traps. On my way there I'm getting hit by arrows and scorps, no big deal, just a few points of damage here and there, I'll heal up once I get past the bridge. Start working my way up, going through the lightning - Ding! You have been killed.

    I'd cast Resist Sonic.

There's no better way than accidentally taking off your Con item off in town after being wacked in quest, to just be wacked again! Not that I've ever done that

My favorite way I wish I could die?

    /death to the airship.

Aka: We should be able to bind on our guild airship. Would save a metric forktonload of time.

I actually killed self via falling damage ON the airship... 3 hp at a time. Kinda on purpose, tho.

Greed killed one of my friends a second time this way. He would put his Something of Haggling +13, in the process taking off his something of Health +4. He would do it to save money on repairs...

[party] *Ping* X, your party member, has died.

Never happened to me since I have the sense to have a different slots for the Haggling and Health...

    He never learned.

Once, I had my bard toon killed by a trap... I forgot I wasn't playing my Rogue toon...

Casting healing spells on undead without watching my HP Bar was another way my Bard toon died.

If I get YASD, I'll tell you.

LOL! I'll use mass healing spells for that purpose usually up close -- and now that you can sing your mana back who cares.

The best part is that haggle doesn't effect repair costs.

Can't tell how many times I've killed a toon in Durk's Got a Secret by trying to get that chest across from the witch doctor boss that spawns. I know the acid trap is there, but I either think "I can get close enough to open the chest without getting in the way of the acid trap" because I get it confused with the chest in Korthos protected by the acid trap or else I forget I have the quest on hard/elite and the acid does like a zillion points of damage past my resist acid potion.

This is possible as long as the trap isnt active. Ie you can loot this chest without setting off said acid trap.

Waiting for our 6th party member at Ritual Sacrifice entrance. Red bar depleting. Dead.

"Hey guys, can you come get me?".

"Sure, where are you... hmm can't see you on the map."

    "In the Twelve."

    "In the lava?"

Yep, did this just recently myself. Forgot to put on feather fall before I jumped down to get the opening quest. At least my barb's armor is clean now.
Once upon a time, I was part of a team, and we saved some children. That was long ago and far away, and, yes, I am that old.

We are all lost travelers, on a journey to find that which we do not know, but it is not a prize we seek, but the road that must be taken, it is that inside us that drives us forward into the unknown.

Being bound at the airship tower in marketplace can be dangerous.

I've died in a quest, /released and appeared there and jumped over the rail in order to more quickly reach the airship portal nearby, only to die again due to the falling damage.
