The pre-load for people who pre-purchased the game has pre-started today.
Email invitations from Beamdog has been sent with instructions on how to download the game. Good luck getting it, though. I've been staring at 503 error for hours now.

Finally. I've been waiting since when it was supposed to be out the first time on 9/12. I was so upset it was delayed, because they didn't announce the delay til a couple days off from 9/12.

They basically tuned up the Baldur's Gate 2 engine, redid all of the landscapes and models. They even created a brand new expansion to go with it. They created 3 more NPCs that are rich with backstory and tons of depth. All of the classes and kits available in BG2 and Throne of Bhaal are going to be available in this one. The company also hinted they are going to be working on redoing BG2 or even Icewind Dale after this one.

Yay!
Me and a buddy has been trying for ages to duo it, but have been running our heads against a wall of bugs. We've both been looking forward to this for months.

On a side note, anyone's got any ideas for a duo combo? I've completed it solo on a cleric/fighter and a cleric/ranger (tank, spank and heal) and he has done so on a fighter/wizard (protection from weapons, protection from elements, protection from magic weapons).

BG2 WILL be made. Trent Oster said, they'll make BG2:EE "even if the team would consist of 3 people working out of a shoe box" or something like that. BG3, IWD and others depend on success of these first two enhanced titles.
