I've been thinking about it ever since you mentioned it in DDO Cast. It does seem to imply that U17 will be Epic Gianthold, but you can also take those two sentences as separate things. So you have:

Decide the fate of an U17 Epic Giant Hold Item!

or

Decide the fate of an U17 Item, and help design an Epic Gianthold Item.

An Epic Voice of the Master... hmmm so they are going to Epic the Delera's chain. I can get behind that. Yet to do the Mantle... does that mean they are going to Epic Threnal??? I mean Epic Coyle??? Will he have what 20 hp? I shudder to think of that.

Check that, I need to be pinched because that seems like a nightmare.

OMG, I have dreamed of epic gianthold since I started running epics, and now, that dream is coming to fruition! Even though the goal has been reached (and then some...), I threw in a few more bucks 'cause its a good cause. I lost a good friend of mine a few years back due to a diabetic seizure, so I more than most people, realize how debilitating and potentially deadly this disease is.

Though getting the popularity out of the way, I was actually hoping they would finish up the Shavarath quests instead of this. I only got into gianthold with a guest pass a real long time ago, and well...im not too fond of it.

Can't knock him out, and he's not targetable with heals or buffs. Duration increased to 30 minutes. Shard is only obtainable from South chain end reward, with a 0.0000001% drop rate.

The option was for any 2 items in the game.

I bet the seals/shards/scrolls will drop in GH.

They are Epifying Gianthold, not Delera's and not Threnal.

GOAL MET $550 total donations - I will get the devs to take two existing non-epic items, and Epic them! (Feather of Sun has already agreed mwuhahaha) Donors will get to decide what two items it is. So far the donor votes are for Voice of the Master + Mantle of the Worldshaper. Remember even if we meet this goal, you can still donate to join in the suggestions until the 20th!

So looks like we can get some items other than gianthold. How thats going to work remains to be seen. I do sort of doubt they'll be making other packs epic just for the items that get chosen.

well think about it, ddo doesnt like putting things out for free so it would make sense why they would add a pack onto gianthold to make people have to buy it in order to get the other items
