So a S&B fighter/pally with capstone/zeal,the shield mastery feats, Sentinel ED, twists, and gear can get to a 34% double strike.
Glancing blows with D-axe/B-Sword adds up but I don't understand it well enough but according to wiki adds up to 50% weapons damage . . . is that right? http://ddowiki.com/page/Glancing_blow
So does that make up for the 80% off-hand attacks of having a second weapon equipped or having a two-hander?
I'm talking about Defender PRE toons as Sentinels, I'm sure it's not the case for other ED/PRE combinations.
We sort of tested this last night in a situation where things were as close to equal as we could get on short notice - one Stalwart TWFing with Khopeshes and the other S&B with a D-axe. We timed how long it took is to beat down the portal near Prey on the hunter. Both toons were using holy of smiting weapons, were at the same STR, and my human (the khopesh user) didn't use HV-damage boost because the guy with the dorf-axe didn't have that.
The TWFing stalwart beat the time of the S&B stalwart . . . by a whole 2 seconds
We had the same people in the instances so dungeon scaling was the same.
So it's looking like S&B caught up, a lot. Can somebody who's better with the numbers throw some math behind this?
