Default I got this Half Orc Cleric with only a few melee feats so which...

He is a healer that can melee if there are too many divines and not enough dps. Maxed out smiting DOT too.

He is a 2hf build and Horc helps this. CLR17/WIZ1. The wiz lvl buffs in blade barrier and extra magic feat also. Plus with Master's touch he can be proficient in martial weapons like Keen Falchions at low lvl.

He will be taking 2 more FTR lvls for more feats. The plan was Orc Power Attack 3 and ORC weapon amp for 2% more to weapon effects. He already has Improved Critical slash and Power Attack. Stun and improved sunder even though he is a STR build seem better on pure melees. Seems GT2F was the way to go to save spell points on mobs. This build was designed before the update for epic. Seems Overwhelming critical is more for bosses and a 19-20 is ok, but I like the critical range on those Falchions better at 15-20.

Does OC req Weapon focus feat +1 to hit?
What a waste of a feat.
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Overwhelming_Critical \
shows u need WF, but in the game it is not listed.

So my question is which.... 2hd to G2HF or take Cleave and Improved Cleave (and maybe WF) for OC?
Is improved cleave just as good as G2hf?

I don't know have to fit in WF
    Toughness
    Power Attack
    empower heal
    maximize
    quicken
    IC slash
    empower
    2hf

are the current ones. Only 2 feat slots left with FTR2 coming up. I would have to drop 2hf for WF maybe cause I do not want to drop empower. It helps with my DOT and Aura and burst heals.

I figured to post this here cause you guys might have a better idea which is better.

With CLR17 he heals just fine with Heal spell for 700. Mass heal for 800 and heal scrolls, and I know when to put the falchion away, so don't hijack this thread please with rants about Clerics should not melee. Believe it or not in slayers and when parties have lots of Divines or self healing the melee comes in handy.

BTW he has 3 Divine Power items for 15 clicks. It gives him the BAB of a FTR of same lvl, more hp and attack speed. It is almost always running with Divine Favor +3 'to hit' and 'to damage'. That is how divines can melee well with just IC and PA. Divine Power works on mages too and many can melee at low to mid lvl with it even with STR10.

If you can afford it, I'd go with cleave-critical line of feats over GTHF, the glancing blows just produce lots of aggro on you, whereas the critical line kills single enemies way faster, which in my experience is better for you in the long run.

On the other hand, I personally have a GTHF battle cleric, 18/2 fighter, and I do like getting all the aggro, because then I only have to worry about keeping myself alive...

So still your decision, just adding what you'd be trading off. Taking aggro vs. quicker single target kills.

The devs dropped Weapon Focus as a necessary feat, btw, so don't worry about that.

I find the best destiny is legendary dreadnought, and take twists from the exalted and sentinal destiny, but you could mix and match as you wish.

OC still requires cleave and great cleave. I would ditch THF as its not worthwhile unless you take all three...and then it costs too many slots on a divine anyway.
