Default Does doublestrike include weapon effects?

When you land a doublestrike is it a pure second strike with the weapon, including say greater construct bane against the construct you landed the doublestrike on? So you would get the +4 and 3-18 on top of normal damage? Or is the doublestrike mechanic different?

Double strike will have full weapon effects. It's literally a whole other attack added on with it's own damage rolls and own chance to proc effects (such as lightning strike). Not sure if it has a separate to-hit roll though.
