Default Subscription cancellation and exit survey

    Hi,

I've just canceled my subscription and wanted to give some feedback. However, the feedback survey link just takes
me off to the www.questionpro.com mainpage. There is no context specific information.

Is there any other way I can give feedback? (what I have to say is short and to the point)

I'm guessing what you have to say isn't something that would be allowed to be posted in the public forums then?
    Maybe a PM or two?

Probably that there's no guarantee that it'll be read, at least the exit survey is official.

Tolero PM'ed me so I forwarded my feedback that way.

For me quality has nosedived and I'm just not prepared to subscribe to what's currently being served up.

I'll probably get a boatload of neg. rep for this but I don't really care. I did lie a little, it wasn't really short and to
    the point:

I've decided that I'm no longer prepared to subscribe to the absolute dogcrap that has been served up
in u14, u14.1, u14.2 and now u15. The sheer number of bugs plus Turbine's uncanny ability to re-introduce
old bugs and not fix bugs at all (ladders are still broken) is just beyond the pale. e.g.

The broken quest 'Overgrowth' - if you refer to the Lammania forums you will see that this quest was reported
bugged in this way since U15 was first posted for preview. Not a single dev response or acknowledgement in that
thread. Expanding on this point, what the hell is Lammania for?

EDs and Epic feats not working as designed/described. Still.

Spells still bugged from Update 9.

Constant 'You are not facing XXX' messages when using DDOs 'active' combat system. Acknowledged in February
    - no fix. As an arcane caster, this is the single most annoying thing in the game.

Still lots of 'DNT TBD' strings.

The game is now a total grindfest. Eberron Epic component drops are making me want to vomit. To literally
ransack four quests and see exactly one seal is just too disheartening. At this rate, you'll only be left with the
hardcore with the rest of the players drifting in and out. I don't know, perhaps that's the business model.

Bait and switch - neutering of race/class abilities e.g. Warforged immunities (but hey, we still get the penalties!),
Cannith Challenge XP. I think the entertainment software industry is the only place these practices would be legal
i.e. my car manufacture can't turn up to my house 6 months after I purchase a car and replace the engine because
the 3.0 I bought is 'overpowered' or not 'balanced' with the other cars on the road.

Constant fiddling with minutiae whilst bugs are left to rot. I'm tired of logging the same bugs update after update
just to fill up someone's wastepaper basket. It's vexing to see release notes about breakables being fixed whilst
class defining feats such as Overwhelming Critical still don't work.

Questionable development practices. What are your change controls? On at least two occasions (the first that
springs to mind is the Abbot Goggles changes) it was obvious that the developer hadn't even verified that the
changes they had made did what they were supposed to do - let alone that they had not broken something
else. Now, I work in the software industry so I understand bugs in software occur. I also understand that there
are normally practices put in place such as code inspection, unit testing, regression testing, soak testing etc. to
ensure quality and to minimize risk. Honestly, if I committed a change which not only didn't fix what it was supposed
to fix but also broke something else I'd be in a fair bit of trouble.

I should also be clear that I'm talking about 'Systems' here e.g. the implementation of the gameworld and the
physics within it. I'd like to say that the art for MotU is absolutely stunning; first rate. As someone jokingly said
on the forums, perhaps you should put the art guys in charge of some of the systems ;-). It's a shame that their
hard work was tarnished by the expansion pack being released clearly before it was ready.

I'll give ya a click of 'approval'. To counteract all the 'zomg turbine is perfect they can do no wrong, you must be playing the game wrong' type of people that are sure to show up soon!
If I seem rude, I'm sorry, I just have strong feelings about this game, since I've only played two games in the last few years., and this is my only multiplayer game. I'm much nicer in game.

LOL, so you expected them to change??? When they couldn't/wouldn't finish the PRE's after over 2 years? When they left things like the ToD rings bugged for over 2 years? On and on.... Raids bugged for years on end...

DDO for too long now from a systems development standpoint has been focused on the fancy stuff, instead of things that WORK. Fancy is cool and all... But if it doesn't work or isn't finished it's not fancy, no matter what the intended function is.... "Hey dude, cool paint job on that car, WOW nice stereo, awesome rims, interior is plush... WOW look at all that chrome in the engine compartment! Does it run for more than 5 minutes without stalling or throwing a rod? No? OK... Get back to me when it runs...

They continue to come out with all kinds of new stuff that doesn't work, when the old stuff didn't work.

When they can actually implement a bug reporting system that isn't bugged afer 6 years..... That's the first step...

This is still the case that the exit survey does not exist due to the redirect is broken.

    Ticket raised.

I have passed along this information about the broken link for the exit survey. It is apparently something that the proper departments are aware of, and working to resolve.
