Splashing 1 Paladin Level.

Would it be a good idea, if for your other melee lives, you splashed 1 Paladin level before level 10, so that you could equip all of those Holy Swords in your TR cache from your pally life at level 10?

You really don't get much out of 1 level of paladin. I mean you'll use the holy sword for 2 levels till you pull out your greensteel? If you have a decent charisma score 2 levels could be handy for the bonus to saves in some builds.

For what is effectively a +5 Holy Burst Metalline weapon of what kind of type you want? Not that huge imo, if you have mineral greensteels they are stronger and can be equipped just 2 levels later. And you'll find lootgen weapons by level 10 that come pretty close to +5 Holy Burst.

Probably not.

2 pally levels for the saves bonus and an occasional smite can be viable with some builds in heroic levels. However, using a holy sword around level 10 only provides convenience when considering the Reavers in Threnal for example. Loot get/crafted weapons can get the job done just as easily...

So unless you were building for high saves and using the Chr bonus to add on to them, I'd question why.

Like a few others have said, if you got a decent Charisma investment, two levels is always the way to go, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
