    Default Changes to EiN

From the U15 Release notes on Lam:

The cooldown on the Grandmaster of Flower's Epic Moment, Everything is Nothing, has been increased from 180 seconds to 300 seconds.
I personally don't find it that big of a change - I wasn't throwing it every 3 minutes anyways. Five minutes seems like a fine nerf and it might quiet down those casters with bruised egos.

Agreeing with that - I really expected a far more significant nerf. A 300 second cool down is not that big a deal.

    BTW 300/60 = 5 ...not 6

I still think a target cap would have been a better idea, but I'm glad Turbine took the easy way out and only did this. Some of the suggestions I saw included nerfing its DC into worthlessness.

I don't use it every 3 minutes anyway. It's rare that you'd get a large enough group to feel like you've used the ability to its potential every 3 minutes. Most times when I pug, I rarely use it at all unless I'm clearing out what I know in advance to be a difficult spawn. EiN is often saved for an emergency where the healer or CC caster dies and we are in danger of being overwhelmed.

Last time I did pugged EE DA for example, it took 32 minutes. I used EiN twice. I'm quite sure the fact I had it saved one of those times prevented a wipe when our healer died and 3 others followed in close succession. Trivialising a few spawns that you're most likely already capable of handling is not worth that kind of safeguard. So that's how I use it.

This would work if the ability was renamed Several Things are Nothing.

And to actually add something to the discussion, I find I don't use it that often when soloing anyway, I usually save it until there are 7 or more enemies as my other attacks and cleave/great cleave. In a group I keep it for when I know theres an ambush or if we get overwhelmed. Basically, I treat it as an epic moment and not part of any attack chain.

Its for emergencies...unless you group up multiple monks and alternate the uses which is kinda an irritating PITA. To nerf it anymore or at all doesnt make sense to me.. Its an epic moment...to put hard caps on it would make it a ...wail of the banshee

Everything is nothing is a "summon fairy godmother" spell. It fixes all your mistakes and forgives you for it.

Pulled too many mobs? Everything is Nothing!

Forgot to use your death ward clickie and took 11 neg levels from that wail? Everything is Nothing!

Miscalculated incoming damage verus incoming healing and noticed you are about to die in the next 3 seconds? Everything is Nothing!

Drank a silver flame pot and went helpless because you had your haggle gear on? Kite for 30 seconds. Then Everything is Nothing!

    too much knee jerks,,
people think its the solution to everything and an easy button,, its not. All the whiners seem to think its always available to hit whenever you want and talk as though it can be chain used...

All those times its ready to hit,, means its not been used for ages !

When the time comes that its going to be handy you better have it ready, else its useless,, ergo: dont use it till you need it.

Such a pity that whiners that are dazzled by one off mass damages rather than over time damage effects, these people are going to ruin epic destinies so that quests are run faster than it takes to even use the top skills due to charging & timers...

5 minute timer on something, when a quest can be run in less than 5 minutes, or charges that wont be reached by the time you finish due to so little hitting needed... pah,, whats the point !

    such a shame...

if anything, all the epic moments should have their timers reduced, not nerfing them to the point you wont get a chance to use them .

I don't think it was a nerf. Or rather that Turbine did it with the intention of nerfing EiN. All epic moments I know of have a 300s cooldown, so I'd rather go with the option that it got standardized.

And I wouldn't care too much about the whiners it's hurt epeen talking.

In my personal experience during regular questing the required amounts of stuns/flower powers (or rather the ki required for them) was the main bottleneck not the CD. And it was - and still is - an awesome skill so you could say 'hey, I got this next room covered, chill a bit' once or twice per dungeon. And of course insane fun to wipe out the hardcore guys in the brawling pit once in a while.
