Freaking Great.
Kept getting booted because my account was logged into on other servers.
Asked a GM for advice buuuut. Well, after 30 minutes of waiting for a response, I got kicked a final time.

My password is changed, now (and not by me).

So. How about some advice now, before I find myself logging in to a reason not to ever play again?

Isn't there some sort of password recovery tool? If so, maybe you can use that to get the new password and login and change it.

Well, I'd already changed it, but it didn't go through.
It was some kind of weird disconnect between the site and the game. It apparently took 20~ minutes to go through and then locked me out of the old password, ha.
I overreacted is all, as much from kneejerk reaction to unclear layout on the the support side of the matter.

After about two decades in IT, I can say statements like this are almost never correct.

Except where an entire DB is stolen, I've never seen or heard of a hack that wasn't related to an ID10T error.

Not saying I don't get the sentiment, having worked in the field, and similar, but with the topic out of the water, not really a meaningful element to it.

And no, it actually was, in the sense I was relating it to: It took over 30 minutes for a GM to send me a response, and the tools on the site weren't clear enough on the subject to sort it out easily otherwise.

After which time the account got locked out for a while, making me believe it'd been fully hacked over.

So yes, I was being accurate, to the matter I was discussing.

That was the initial bug. The rest was a glitch in the password reset process.
