Default Endurance Hound - run one?

All these records; Hound however is harder when it takes longer.

I'm under the impression from chatting a while ago that it may well have been done, in which case I would love to hear/see.

If it hasn't - how long can you go? I imagine over time the spawns form a pattern that if you came up with a good takedown method you could go pretty much continuously with the right party setup to renew resources. So if anyone knows details of spawns I would be interested in this as a theoretical exercise if no one has done this/has the time (everyone beta-ing or preparing for xpn etc).

You can really cheat a max-time approach in one of two ways - either start the raid really really late (so AFK for an hour inside before aggroing Xy'zzy), or get her vulnerable, wipe, and reenter while someone holds it for an hour.

Sirgog, both those approaches would, i feel, miss the point of it.

the point is the Challange; to see how long you can last before you are overwhelmed (ergo, NOT completing)

I'd say an elite run with no buffs on dogs and no guards would be a serious test of endurance. Maybe to even spice it up a bit even further, don't charm the dogs until the baby beholders or (for extra super spicy) the regular beholders spawn.

Only 1 dog charmed too of course.

Those little dogs regularly drop from the centre ceiling don't they? I wonder how many you could collect?

They don't spawn if there are already three active dogs. I don't run the raid often and I've never completed one that went longer than 15 minutes so I can't say for sure however, I'm told there is a limit to the number of puppies. In otherwords there are 3, if you kill one another will spawn but if you kill 8-10 you may not see any further spawns.

I'd be interested to see though so please share the results of your testing whomever has done this.

You'd need to complete to get a timestamp. But after a certain point as I mentioned in the OP it would be just repetition of a cycle of spawns and kills so after a while it becomes pointless. I guess an hour run or something though would be impressive.

Just found a picture of a 14 minute run. I have vague memories of maybe 2 cycles of keeper spawns after the initial spawn?

I was going to say that we would need to see killcount to show you just hadn't zoned in a piked for 56mins prior to beginning as Sirgog had suggested. But it occurred to me that one way of doing this might be just kite the trash rather than kill it. Which brings the next question - does the trash stop spawning after a point? You'd still kill the beholders I guess. So it would be interesting to see how may cycles of keepers you might get in an hour and how much trash.

Well if it would get you back to Khyber I'm willing to give anything a go

I've done a 25 minute elite cluster$#@!. We lost charmed dogs on two occasions (usually one charmed dog death is hard to recover from on elite) and had 3 or more people dead on more than one occasion.

We pulled through due to having a fair number of WF in the group, who could handle beholders well (beerholders can't do all that much to WF with deathblock and medium to high Fort saves), and an AC intimitank that could play with Xy'zzy.
