Default Lord of Blades FvS with decent Blade Barrier?

The background: I'm tired of not having anything to do, and want a character that can solo pretty much everything while being able to heal groups when desired.

I don't know if it's even possible, but what kind of a Wisdom would be required to make Blade Barrier effective in solo play as well as groups?

I was thinking something like 16 Str, 16 Con, 14 Wis, 10 Int, 10 Cha.

I have access to tomes, so +3's can be assumed if absolutely necessary. I have a +2 Supreme ready to go right now.

Goal is Greatsword using Blade Barrier dropping soloist who can jump into a group and heal without issue. Possible?

Normal LoB with 8 dump wisdom will do the thing.
Half damage from Blade Barrier is till decent if u got potency items.
And to be honest with 14 starting wisdom, with no level ups to it, and no feats in evo focus,. you still will hit just forhalf most of time.
Honestly on my fvs with 44 wisdom 50% hits are for half. And I wear +2 DC item and have feats ;p.

Search panel is your friend. Sirgog's Soul Survivor and Mellkor's Lord of The Blades FvS are very popular melee FvS builds.
    Characters on Orien:
    Wanzer/ Klingtanz/ Incanta Superior/ Mercantus

I'd go Sovereign Host Half-Elf Fighter Dile rather than WF LoB.
Useful capstone, more useful since you have 2 human heal amp, proficient in all martial melee...

Drawback is that ugly helf face, neg levels, and that ugly helf face.

Did I mention that ugly helf face?
    I don't care...

6, not 8; it's warforged. Otherwise, yes. I second this opinion. I have a capped Lord of Blades favored soul with dumped wisdom, and his blade barriers are great. I have to pay attention to what I'm fighting, of course. Blade barrier is rarely worth casting on high level evasion mobs, for example.

I imagine that, if I had pumped my wisdom and quit my job so I could farm DC-pumping gear, then blade barrier would be more useful in more situations. But just how many situations is that? It's not like I'm leaning on Blade Barrier as my only form of DPS, and not even a DC 50 blade barrier could solve every problem.

If brute force doesn't solve the problem, then you aren't using enough.

A 36 pointer can afford a 13 base Wisdom (albeit at a slight Con cost), then a +3 Wis tome and the +6 Wis from a conc-opp. 5 more DC on Bladebarrier total over a 6 Wisdom no tome - and going from mobs saving 80% of the time to 55% of the time is a good 20% damage increase on BB.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

    *shameless plug*

Or you could do something like this:

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=318443

My build is in a constant state of remaking and retweaking, but I stand behind a wisdom based, fleshy, melee capable FvS for a few reasons.

    - Str is easily buffed in game. With a good investment in str and some buffs and of course some nice weapon like an ESOS or EAGA you will hit most epic mobs on a 2 with PA on. There's very little reason to completely tank your DC's over 2-3 points of damage.

    - Fleshies can wear Epic Malarith Chain. 'Nuff said.

    - The heal amp on human/half-elf allows for better tanking solo healing. My last run of Tod, I tanked sulu, healed myself and the melees around me without breaking a sweat.

    - DC's. When melee brute force is not the answer. I can swap gear, click a few metas and compete with the best of the most concentrated DC divine casters out there.

It is not for everyone, does require some (lol, alot) of grinding. But the payoff is huge. I have yet to be disapointed in the performance.
    Git off mah lawn!

If, If's and But's was Candies and Nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
