    Question Must-haves before TR'ing?

So, my 1st-life Drow Sorc is destined for a WF AM TR, just wanted to make sure I am not missing any crucial gear. My goal is for a survivable, epic-viable CC build after a life of squishy nuking. Here is the (mostly) finalized build:

Are you able to tank/kite the shadows in tod easily with your sorc? If your already tod flagged with some completions I would think hard on getting more till AM ring drops. Its a very very good set.

As far as new build, looks solid. Personally I would swap maximize back to level 10 and put SF conj to 15 heighten to 20.
Reckter 91PLs, Anhilliation 36PLs. Rekter 17 PLs. Vikzor 9PLs. Veisha 7PLs. Rekinja 4PLs. Rekalidin 4PLs. Minirek 3PLs. Artirek 3PLs. 175 total past lives gained, 1 XP stone used (the free one)

If you don't mind using some larges, a int/int/int green steel stick can make leveling a lot easier.

The twisted talisman is an easy farm at level 20 and a major help at the midgame.

Vibrant purple ioun stone for leveling? Archmagi and spell pen IX are amazing at level 5.

An upgraded staff of the petitioner is the ultimate leveling gear for a wizard, but it will require learning the abbot raid. Become good at the tiles puzzle, and every abbot pug will love you

I was going to say Ring of Thelis as being easy to get but it looks like Skiver overrides it.

I know you say you can craft greater focus items but would you want the Gianthold Napkin to cover the other schools?

And if you are going to be CC then a regular Diabolist Docent is very nice for leveling (min level 2) and an Epic one is great for lvl 20, if you don't mind occasionally switching out your other one.

Oh and the unsuppressed Vibrant Purple Ioun Stone is (relatively) easily gotten now from Dreaming Dark farming. I can't imagine anything better for a level 5 TR'd caster.

Looks like you are all set. Torc and go .

I'll 2nd the vib purp stone, it's really nice.

Don't worry too much about TOD rings or epic gear.

    house P pendent of time.
Quiver of House D to hold all the arrows and bolts you are bound to pick up.
    Large sacks.
If it is your hagglier, pre buy supplies before you TR so they are stocked in the TR bank.
As you are doing a Wizard, any scrolls pre hand you think you may have a hard time getting later on. (I don't know how many characters you have for farming.)

The new canith unlocable items of goggles and cloak? Get them pre unlocked now?

As you are going WF, there is an eternal wand of repair you may find handy at the low levels.
Eternal wand of acid splash is also very handy at the low levels.

Twisted talisman for more sp, then suck on the eternal repair wand? If you can stand the slowness of it. Your call.

yeah, this is more utilitarian, but I find they are often forgotten about.

Smile Woo hoo - closer than I thought!

Well, I do have the VB Ioun Stone, and I do have the Cannith set, which I should unlock. House P pendant is a good idea, at least it will make me fast in town. And I have run Last Stand a LOT of times, no @#$#$ Talisman, but I can try some more, as my current TR project will take a little while longer to cap (and get me a Large Ing Bag in the process).

Where does one find this eternal repair wand?

Yes, of course, the House P Pendant of Time is the best level 1 item ever, I just assumed you had one. I would rather have it at level 1 than a Torc.

Ok no one could actually say that and believe it: imagine a Torc with the archers in Deleras for just one example. And STK. And it would make Stormcleave much less of a chore too. I would rather have a Torc, by a mile.

But anyway the House P Pendant of Time is really darn good.

Napkin is actually on the list of my nice-to-have items - but I was not aware of the docent, it looks fantastic, especially the Epic version. Of course, until they fix the @#$#@$ scroll drops, no one wants to run eChrono.

I want to say water works, end chain reward. I know when I was originally collecting the eternal wands, it didn't exist, but on my recent TR I saw it.

And while we're on the subject of more lowbie-ish items don't forget Voice of the Master/Mantle of the Worldshaper. And a couple or three Visor of the Flesh Render Guards.

Oh yeah, bound to character or account gear, standard loot table for doing your crafting with.
Have such "blanks" ready to go if you need it.

And you may want to adamantine ritual any items you think you are going "ok, this is good. I'm done"

And if you want to wear DragonTouched armor, now is the time to get it pre made.

get the flagging material for Titan, another full crest for Abbot, the 3 parts for DQ, etc. to save you on raid flagging if you want to run those right away.

    Abishai Set (ML5 version)
Phiarlan Mirror Cloak (low level version)
Infused Chaos Docent (slotted with something like Reflex)
Cove trinkets if you have them - I love the Greater Stalwart
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

You might want to consider a different order on your feats

    Level 1 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Mental Toughness
Feat: (Past Life) Past Life: Sorcerer
    Feat: (Selected) Toughness

    Level 3 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Selected) Spell Focus: Enchantment

    Level 5 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Extend Spell <- here is where you will get your most important non- 1 min per level buff spells

    Level 6 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Selected) Maximize Spell

    Level 9 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Heighten Spell

    Level 10 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Spell Focus: Conjuration

    Level 12 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Greater Spell Focus: Enchantment

    Level 15 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Spell Penetration <- About the time you hit the Vale is when Spell Pen becomes important. Up to this point a few drow is all you will encounter.
    Feat: (Selected) Greater Spell Penetration

    Level 18 (Wizard)
    Feat: (Selected) Empower Spell

    Level 20 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Greater Spell Focus: Conjuration

The above feat order won't work as greater spell focus conju isn't a bonus feat for wizards so you can't take it at 20 but only at 3/6/9/12/15/18.

Imho empower should also be taken earlier but that's personal preference and heighten can be postponed.

I would also seriously consider swapping extend for insighfull reflex at least at cap as it is a lifesaver.

in order of importance (my reckoning)
    1purple vibrant stone
2 fleshrender visors 2x (this is literary the difference between life and death in many quests this the only place you can get a reliable supply of deathward spell clicky)
3bloodrage symbiot, find this very helpful its even good at high lvls
utube how to farm it boring but does not take long real time ( you need to ada ritual it after you gotten it)
4blademark docent so easy to get but suppose 100 crafting might be able to craft almost as good with lvl5 req
5eardweller can not be ignored but since its lvl18 req its not important to get for the TR but more for lvl20 endgame.

oh and make sure you have a low lvl req moderate fort item waiting for you

after considering a clickie of invisibility spell can be very useful if low enough lvl req since to take invisibility spell as a slot you need to sacrifice another spell like scorching ray or blur.

BAH!!!!!!!!! Heck no. That one while nice just isn't worth the pain to try to farm one.
That is worse than trying to get the twisted talasimen.

...Or the vendor in the Marketplace will sell you a stack of Invisibility scrolls for a very trivial amount of money.

    You need nothing...

I' at my 4th life on wizard and 3th life on WF sorc without
    Quorforged Docent
    Torc
    Bauble
    Epic CC dagger
Conc Opp SP goggles + Triple Earth HP bracers
Lvl 98 crafting to make any greater focus items I need
    ToD rings
    +3 tomes (of any sort)

... and I enjoy TRing this way: I like more doing quest at level and get XP than farming at cap for latter lifes.

As they give free ioun stones in DD now, you can get one or two...

BTW, you don't need any epic item to TR as you will not be able to wear them before getting ready to farm them again

I lean this way too. Why farm House P quests at level 20 if you don't have the pendant? Just run the Carnival chain after TRing and get XP while you're at it.

While prepping for my upcoming TR I have done a bit of work, though:
    - A set of Shroud shards in case you need to craft new greensteel post TR.
    - Ioun stone
    - Dragontouched docent

If you don't have some rare drops like a torc it's not worth farming them just for the TR. You might still be farming that pre-TR item 6 months down the road for all you know.
    Don't feed the trolls.
Praise the Dark Six and pass the heals to pure melees.
Full feat tree; Cannith; change; merger; evil; win; minmaxing; FotM; deja vu; Kobolds.
