    Is there some reason you didn't take pre-reqs for AoV?

    Try this idea instead: monk 2 / pally 6 / FvS 12 w/rogue dilly for +3D6 SA. You give up some feats, but 9 should suffice: Toughness, TWF x3, Power Atk, Stunning Fist, Maximize, Quicken, and either IC Blunt or another metamagic. You get higher saves (Divine Grace), smites, Divine Sacrifice (combines nicely with AoV), Divine Might I, etc.

    Though if going unarmed, maybe monk 6 / FvS 12 / ftr 2 is better: Ninja Spy I + AoV II. [Or go drow & use short swords for added gimp flavor. ]

    Didn't want to depend much on the fvs side of the toon so skipped aov!

    That 6 monk 2 ftr 12 fvs looks fun :P will look into it.

    What exactly is this character supposed to DO? You have yourself spread about 10 different ways. Your spell selection is particularly baffling.

    Spell (1): Shield of Faith
    As a multi-TR, I would hope that you have better items than what this can provide.

    Feat: (Favored Soul Bonus) Energy Resistance: Sonic
    Do not take this. You want Cold or Electricity.

    Spell (2): Spawn Screen
    Seriously?

    Spell (5): Break Enchantment
    This spell has a caster level check. At level 12, it won't work on anything.

    No Divine Power? You are going to be short on attack bonus from all the splashing. I'd take that over Recitation.

    Wisdom 11 15
    Feat: (Selected) Past Life: Arcane Initiate
    This is what I really don't get. You aren't taking Arcane Initiate for the magic missile click, are you? With dumped Wis and hardly any save based spells in the first place, what exactly is the wizard past life getting you?

    I also see you're taking Divine Punishment. Perhaps you've been mislead by various "ZOMG, NERF TEH DIVINES!" threads that have popped up. Let me assure you, the 15 points of damage every 2 seconds that you'll be pumping out with this (up to a whole 45 every 2 seconds with a triple stack!) is not going to be scaring any monsters at all.

    You may be thinking of some kind of self-healing, but with no metamagics and only Cure Critical, your healing is going to be tremendously bad. You should at the very least drop one of those ...many... Toughness feats and take Empower Healing.

    I can see 2 things as the goal here...

    1) You threw together a bunch of things that seem like they might be cool, and see if any of them stick. An odd thing for your character's 5th life.

    2) You want to do a FvS life before TRing again. My advice? Take out 6 levels of fighter and 2 levels of monk and replace them with 8 levels of FvS. You'll be massively stronger.

    Thanks I kinda half assed the build I guess, going to edit some stuff out now, get some metamagic and a heal spell, also that spawn screen is very odd indeed but I'm not really sure what to take there, soundburst wont stun them that much and there isn't really anything I want more from that level of spells, so I took spawn screen for no real reason. And yes, I took the wiz past life for the clickie but it really shouldn't' be there, will go away!
    The build is mostly a combination of point 1 and 2. Didn't feel like going pure FVS again as I have one :/.

    Just TRed my battleclonk & am building into something similar (though somewhat different feat & spell selection).. also helf, but monk dilly instead for the healing amp & i've gone stalwart instead of kensai for durability plus fit AoV into it, figure that guard effect will help boost my single attack spell, the ever-handy boss beater divine punishment I reckon maximised with sup potency it should still be a respectable dps addition even if not as uber as in the hands of a full fvs.
    Still debating whether to stick with my rather poor handwrap power since i have 2 ToD rings with bursts on them & the epic mabar wraps (didnt get around to picking up thaarak wraps though), or maybe switch to dual greensteel kamas, or maybe even go WSS.
    I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    I have even more of a gimp 12Fvs/6pali/2fighter...... names Bitterpills To'swallow on Khyber.

    He's a gimp there is no doubting that. But do I enjoy playing him? Hell yeah!

    If this build is not gonna stay at 20 for long...

    17FVS/2MNK/1FTR and beat stuff to death since you seem to not want to play a pure FVS.

    If you plan on staying level 20 for more than 30 minutes...try to get 18 levels of FVS for mass heal.

    I don't like FVS 12 splits, and here's why.

    When you're rolling a FVS, your biggest question tends to be "what spell do I take at 12th ... Blade Barrier or Heal". The joke is you can tell a lot about the player based on their choice for that single 6th level spell you get.

    I like the concept, but practically speaking, I think it's somewhat weak missing out on spells at that level. Really, a second mass cure wouldn't suck either. That's a ton to give up on top of wings ...


    So ... have you considered cleric instead.

    Cant speak for OP, but for myself i've already got a 12cleric/stuff/other stuff build on the go & just wanted to try out the alternative - figure for a self-healing primarily melee character having Heal plus a handful of nice buffs & that much larger SP pool would be interesting to try out too.
    I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    I went with a 2 monk 18 fvs build :P, my plans to plan out my build failed so I winged it and it turned out pretty well.

    I wonder if I can lock this topic.
