Blue Dragon Scales dilema

After spending months and months and months trying to scrape up enough Blue scales so i could get a Docent for my caster ive decided to give up as the caster it was for has hit 20 (and so has the one i had following it and another has hit 17) so it seems a bit pointless now.

As Ive never set foot in the VoN raid Im unlikely to be going after the Red scale variant either.

So I have the dilemma of having 14 blue scales that are pretty much useless to me.

Im too poor (read miserly lol) to give them away, but neither do i want to sell them (after all, as long as i can afford the pots and scrolls my alts need im ok)

I dont need larges either.

I thought about trading them for tome pages so i could get a Skiver - but a) is 14 scales enough? and b) is this a good idea or are there better options?

What would you do with them - would you polish and covet them, throw them at halflings from the deck of the ship as it cruised over the marketplace, bury them in the Vale etc etc

Any ideas, thoughts, advice welcome - feel free to be as serious, humourous or as outrageous as you like

14 blue scales probably aren't enough for a full tome set if that's what you're thinking. I wouldn't accept such a trade anyway. The blue armour/docent is slightly outdated now while Skiver is still cool.

If you really want the docent, I'd say don't give up. I'm pretty sure they increased the drop rate at some point (I've definitely been getting more scales recently that I used to in the old days anyway) and on a level 20 they're relatively easy to farm.

I've got 4 blues, if you've got spare whites, I'll swap them 1:1 with you. There'll only be 7 left to get for you then.

Unfortunately im not packing any whites (or blacks). As i tend to only do Tor runs with Guildies, I always hand off the ones im not collecting.

What do tome pages go for on G-land? Ive no idea as ive never had cause to look before.

and with u13 tome pages will b dropping all over the orchard so tome page prices will drop just hold off for a few weeks if u can

I have an old Blue Scale robe on my caster character. I definitely like it for my TR lives, but I rarely use it at cap.

It's not something I would make these days, as there is just too much else easier to get that provides as much or more.

As for a trade, you may be able to get some pages, but probably not a complete set of 8 pages. I'd also wait until the update, when pages will be a bit easier to get.

If you don't want to bother with blue scale armor then I would trade them for either large scales or red scales, which are generally the most easily tradable commodity.

Then you can trade those for whatever you want, be it tome pages or whatever.

Or just sell them for plat, and use that to buy what you want.
