Default feat order for PM: heighten or quicken?

On my pale masters 2nd life, I have to take heighten and quicken as wizard class feats at lvls 15 and 20. Which one is more important to get before cap? I used quicken only on dancing balls and NEB on my first life, so I assume its safe to take it at 20? Or should I better use my feat swap after getting lich form and get quicken at 18, swapping out mental toughness?

Leave until 20. Quicken is only needed for epic content if you have reasonable gear. I usually want heighten at 10ish.

What he said, didn't take quicken until 20 and didn't miss it.

It depends how you play. A good player that is practiced at jumping and weaving to avoid being hit doesn't have much use for quicken while leveling. A less experienced caster, or just somebody with a different playstyle will prefer it earlier.

Are you sure you can't move some things around?

What I usually do is get my metamagics earlier on, then right before I level to 20 I use my free feat swap to swap one of them out for whatever I want to take at 20, like shield mastery, and then pick the metamagic back up when I level to 20.
