Not sure what you are meaning here. I will trade my RoSS for a PLIS. Is this a lopsided trade? When I see the items for sale on the AH ,they seem to have comparable prices.

Good to know, thanks. I was going off of this statement in reference to the RoSS and it seemed like a good trade:

Its epic version is best item in the game, no competition even possible.
However, its getting the shard, that is 90% of the success.

From what I understand the Ioun stones drop in any chest of applicable level and are easily upgraded by doing the IQ quests, where as the RoSS drops in one rare chest very seldomly. I had no idea PLIS were so sought after as there are many other items in the game that absorb spells and only a few items that restore SP.

It's the degree is which both can do what they do.

ROSS is 75 spell points, 1 and 1/2 extra Wails of the banshee.

Upgraded PLIS means my ranger can run into the Behloder cave in EVON3 and be invulnerable, as well as having curse immunity in VOD/TOD, etc . . .

Though I think it would cost less to buy a lifetime supply of Scarabs of Spell absorption than what my PLIS cost.

Yeah, but upgraded the RoSS gives 315-1800 SP and has a colorless augment slot. I thought that was the whole point of getting one, to upgrade it.

The other components are so rare though, Shards are about as common as people with morals in New Jersey. Even with the recent shenigans it's still dream for most.
