    Default Special Prestige Action question

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it.

Does Power Surge (Kensei Fighter) or Defensive Stance (Stalwart Defender) have their own action icon when activating or are they grouped with their Prereq. boost?

I guess I'm asking if they Expend an action boost to activate does that mean that they are considered their own boost?

Can I activate Power Surge a maximum number of times and also Attack Boost a max times or do they share? If they share do they stack; is there any reason to take Attack Boost higher than 3 (for Kensei III)?

    Hope this isn't too confusing.
    Undecided, as usual . .

They have their own icon, they share uses, and they can usually be stacked.

So am I right in saying that:

Kensei Fighter with a base of 8 Action Boosts and none yet used . . .

expends an action boost to activate Power Surge (with it's own icon/hotkey)

    1. Does the Fighter now have 7 Power Surges left and still 8 Attack Boosts (since that's the related Kensei prereq.) ?
    2. Does activating the Power Surge start the 30 sec CD for all other boosts; therefore preventing another Action Boost to be activated?
    Undecided, as usual . .

    For stalwart defender:

defensive stance is on the same action boost pool as ac boost.
*Edit*however, the cooldowns are separate (only activates the global 1 second cooldown)*Edit*

someone with a kensai currently can test that, though i bet it is the same.

I have a Paladin with AC boost and DoS Stance, so I can't say for certain for your case, but here's what happens in mine:

Stance and Boost both have 5 uses.
I enter Stance, both abilities drop to 4 uses, short standard global cooldown is applied.
I can proceed to use AC Boosts as normal, while Stance is active, depleting uses from both abilities.

I believe the same thing worked on Rogue Assassin, with their poisons and Damage Boost, although I only played with that briefly. So I'm assuming it'll work that way for Kensai.

Perfect, that's what I needed to hear!

So; assuming the mechanics are the same, a Kensei can Power Surge and then a second later Haste Boost for max DPS, and then 30 sec later Haste Boost again to ensure the best production out of Power Surge.

    Or . .

A Defender with 8 base Boosts and none used can:
Use an AC boost to enter Defender stance then use the AC boost again to stack up even more AC . .and will be left with 6 AC boosts.

And does the Defense Stance have a duration? If not, how is it deactivated?
    Undecided, as usual . .

SD/DoS stances last until you die or turn them off.
