    possibly.

always thought the moral of that story was don't ignore someone just cos you think you've heard it all before. oh and don't employ idiots to guard your livestock. or let your kids stay out all night. at least give them a dog and a sharp stick.

i didn't quite say (nor would i ever expect an update to a game to force someone) to buy a new PC. the point stands.

    IF X is insufficient:

    1. demand less of X
    2. increase abilities of X

i guess there is a third option of sitting on your arse and complaining about it all but that just gets kids killed.

Stop being so 'mean' DWF! Now that we are all 'meanie-pant' for disagreeing with this idea, why not just change all our avatars to amorphous blobs of sparkles and glitter.

Stop wasting time on Armor Kits, new skins for what we wear, and any other visual enhancements - all about the glitter!

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Actually I wish they would stop wasting time on the kits. Should they continue to create cosmetic changes for suits? Heck yeah, but they should do it lotro style where we have an appearance tab to change the outfits.

I really should do a price comparison between lotro and DDO as far as the cosmetics go.

That's the best I could get it, but here is my suggestion: Please allow us to have more spells that show visible affects but do not wear off or last a few seconds. When you cast Mage Armor or whatever, the cool purple stuff dissipates after a few seconds. I'd like more lasting visuals, please.

All on topic opinions aside for a second.
Wow, nice pic. That had to be an undertaking.
How long did that take you?

Turbine from what I understand has been working to decrease the amount of Lag in the game not increase it.

Sorry but /NOT SIGNED on this and your previous 2 threads. I prefer having a game that is playable not one that I log into and looks pretty with some cool effects, but where I can't do anything but look at it.
Well, it's really quite simple. Turbine can just "balance" combat mechanics (such as the twf "update") to eliminate lag.

please don't make it a colour festival where everyone would look like Christmas trees.

The only moment in d&d where you look like that is when someone would cast a detect magic with the equipment we have in ddo.

If you really want to play a rainbow coloured cartoon game you can always play wow or something like that.

Well there is graphical lag, network lag, and server-side lag.

The first one happens because your computer isn't strong enough, the second one because there is something wrong between your computer and the DDO servers (also could be you're downloading stuff other than the 5KBps of game data while playing), and the last one because there too much stuff happening on the DDO servers.

Implementing more graphical effects could cause graphical lag on weak computers with higher settings, but it won't overcharge the servers or cause more network traffic.

Why doe it have to be purple, too? I hate purple and pink! Give me blue. Blue is cool! Or green. Or Orange or red. The Pale masters stole black. It least it isn't glittery!!!

    THIS!

Cosmetics in LotRO are mostly in game money. You get to cosmetic slots for free. They even have a shared costume bank just for you costumed stuff. THat costs TP. Which is cool. I'd be behind this!!! Then Dispel can have is purple stuff and my peeps can dress in other colours.

Crafting dyes would be great, too! You can craft dyes (rust and olive easily then black and blue being far more difficult) and dye the cosmetic stuff!!

Actually, this is what we wanted a long time ago. Time to start a thread again about it??
