Anyways, they began emptying the 'pond' and had given up all hope of finding any survivors when they reached to about 1 foot of water left.
Of course at this point the water remaining was a algae/muck/green/nastiness.
Then Father noticed some 'movement' and discovered one of these fish was actually still alive.
They removed said fish and placed him into the cattle trough (a large 100-150 gallon galvanized water tank).
After much work and tenacity they found that 3 of their 'fish' had survived the winter.
All of them were displaced into this tank where Mother feared the worst about their survival.
They went to check on them last evening and discovered one of them floating on top, still alive, yet gasping.
Father decided to add some air to the water with a compressor and they seemed to get better for a while.
This morning Mother went to check on these creatures and found one of them lying on the ground outside the tank, again, gasping, yet not deceased.
This afternoon She went to check on them again and found one of them 'lying on the bottom of the tank' gasping.
Henceforth, they have been donned as the 'suicidal fish' and shall remain so until they shall perish.
I thought it was funny anyways..
