    bubble bursting action!

you need a mana bar for arcane archer, otherwise you dont get anything, i suggest ftr 18/wiz1/rgr1

    see this build http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=300007

you can also favor khopesh more, change all focuses to slash instead of range :]

You need blue-bar to cast the imbues. Try again.

    Usefull caster levels:
You can take Wizard (if you are missing some feats). But don't think so. Also it give you enchancment so it is not 1 feat but almost 2 feats bonus (unfortunetly duno what casting feat you would like to get... as bonuss)
But you can also take Bard level. Bard is nice as you will get some nice low level wands for free, also YOU WILL GET UMD. Second level of bard unlock you wand and scroll mastery (+25%).

    Usefull other:
level of rouge unlock UMD, and grant sneak attack.
level of ranger gives you full atack bonus and give you free power shoot (and 1 favorite enemy -> nice boost).

Also have a look at the Bowmaster thread for build ideas. If you aren't wedded to Kensai III, take a look at Helves Angel; you won't have pally PL feat, but you do have 2 extra stat pts, which would let you goose its stats a little.

I suppose its debatable whether kensai three and the higher lvl fighter enhancements are worth it, but I took 12 levels of fighter for kensai 2, one wiz (for arcane mana) and the rest will be 7 rogue, as I feel the 4d6 sneak will be worth more damage than the increased crit range.

How close does one have to be to get sneak attack bonuses with a bow?

It's not too bad, and easily doable with practice.

15 meters, unless you have deepwoods sniper I, then it is 25 meters.

They increased the range at which sneak is effective in update 9. It is still really only useful in group play, and won't help so much for the long range sniping you often find yourself doing. It can really help in boss battles though.

While true, DWS is irrelevant to an AA build discussion, for obvious reasons...

I planned on doing a 20 Fig Kensai III Arcane Archer build myself. According to the character planner, Taking the Sorc Past Life feat will allow you to take the enhancements and, I had assumed, would give you a small blue-bar that could be used for imbues.

That's how it works in the character planner anyway. It shows 145 SP.

    Is this not the case?

you gotta remember that kensai III arcane archer can also get the TWF line easily (and should), this augments pew pew, and would make rogue levels look a little smexier :P

Does Ranger require that you get to level 4 before you get the blue-bar?

In essence, I'm wondering if I could go Ran2/Fig18 Kensai III and still use PL Sorc feat to get some SP?

I guess it depends on how the game is coded. Is there a flag that gets flipped on at level 4, or does it just treat you as essentially having 0 SP prior to level 4?

    Anyone tested this before?

Yeap. Can't take mental toughness until you have blue bar. That won't happen till ranger level 4.

Well, then 1 ranger gives back the feat I lost, and then I just gotta decide which of the various casters I should take a level of.

I'm kinda sad that I levelled a Sorc to 20 just for the Sorc PL feat so that I could do an AA without taking a spellcasting class. =P Now I won't need it. Ah well, he's 18 now. Not too much further to go and I guess I get 36 stat points out of it.
