How much hp is it advisable for melees to have at lv 16?

Breakdown maintained 600 on a non-dwarf or warforged ranger for me please.

20 ranger (28 pt):

Really depends what/who you are and what you do.

a front line melee without evasion, you want 600ish+,

A rog, monk, other evasion type melee(who gets down and dirty) u want 500ish.

A rog/archer type who isn't taking hits to the face, 400 is fine.

A ranged/caster type that can do off the sidelines i'd say 350ish is ok.

Below that? i don't think anyone really should have less. Even the nanny bot healer type will take a hit now and then and u want at LEAST 350ish to survive.

what if i want e envenomed? :O (i dont, have to save those for 2 other chars)

I have 3 HP items on my main, mostly cuz the guards I wanted required it lol.

I have a Cloak, Necklace and Goggles.

Once all my Epic Gear is done, the only slot left is goggles, which I crafted to have Disintegrate Guard.

What can I say? I don't make 28 pt non-dwarf/wf melee rangers. If we can assume +4 con tome, maybe we can assume +3 dex tome.

Bah, that ain't sustainable. If I'm not allowed to go 10 dex and wait for a +3 dex tome to drop you aren't allowed to take -5% attack speed

The cookie doesn't stack with abishai, unfortunately, so I doubt it.

Definitely feels a little low to me; it looks like you'll max out around 500 (550 with shroud item), which is, IMO, minimally acceptable for a melee. I tend to start feeling comfortable around 600.
