    Default Battlecleric build help

    I am currently making plans to TR into a cleric. This include hunting down a few elusive pieces of raid gear, getting enough epic tokens together to finish slotting some items and to be able to TR, and probably the most difficult task, finding a build that will accomplish what I'm wanting it to. Hopefully you can either point me in the right direction of a suitable build, or assist in constructing such a build.

    I'm looking for the following things out of this build:

    Enough levels of cleric to cast mass heal.
    Ability to use medium / heavy armor. (that means evasion builds / WF is out).
    PA and PA enhancements (I believe that this narrows the race down to Horc).
    Proficiency with 2 handed slashing weapons (Falchion, Greataxe, Greatsword, etc etc) & improved crit: Slash.
    Enough HP to melee in most raid content without dying (Probobly 400-450+)
    Enough SP to heal in most raid settings & content.
    A UMD score high enough to use most utility scrolls (teleport, fire shield, reconstruct, GH, mass invis, etc etc)
    Enough to-hit to at least reliably hit trash in epic difficulty.
    All important metamagics for a cleric (empower, quicken, maximize, empower healing).


    Items I'm going to be using with this build:
    T3 Epic Cavalry Plate (toughness)
    Epic Sword of Shadow
    Torc of Prince De-Raiyum-de II
    Concordant Opposition, +5 Cha skills, +150 SP Greensteel
    Archmagi / +15 concentration pirate hat
    A whole host of SP regeneration items (twisted talisman, Mysterious Bauble, Ring of spell storing, Vile blasphemy, etc etc)
    any/all +2 tomes, and select +3 tomes as the RNG sees fit.

    I know that this build is a tall order, and that it falls outside of the normal battlecleric build. I also am aware of, and am uninterested in, Lord of Blades builds, Evasion / Robe builds, TWF builds or umarmed fighting builds. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you can give, or for any existing builds that you could point me towards that would fit what I've outlined.

    problem on battle clerics is feats.

    if you want to melee, go for monk splash and handwraps. or duel wielding khopeshes.

    toughness is an must.
    melee:
    two weapon fighting
    improved
    greater
    power attack
    stunning fist if you want to be doom to trash.

    casting:
    maximize.
    empower.
    empower heal for radient servant.
    quicken
    heighten
    there used to be extent, but with u9. this has become absolete.

    so you need 10 feats. an cleric has only 7. (2monk splash 1 fighter could fix this. but the fighter level would be an waste).

    if you want an comparanson:
    2hander hits for about 100 hits every minute. power attack is doubled. strength times 1,5.
    unarmed strikes hits for 204 hits every minutes. strength is doubled(full off hand proc).

    as for race. for an 2h, warforged and half orc win because of power attack doubling.
    as for unarmed. taking 1 level roque with halfling would give you 1d6 + 8 to dmg.
    h-elf would add 3d6 sneak attack of its own.

    charisma adds more damage(divine might) then strength. just the base is higher. this could make warforged unsuitable for DM3. or just too pricy.

    Is FVS out of the question?
    There is no lag. Just because you had none before and can't play now doesn't mean the server move had anything to do with it.

    Doesn't need twf more feats to work then thf? And he has an eSoS...
    I think thf is set when I look at the other requirements he has. Will have a look at my stock of builds...

    I would have to agree that the build you are looking for is either a HOrc pure Cleric, or a HOrc FvS.

    Seeing as how both of these classes only have 1 PrE each, and that they both only go up to tier 2, your choices become pretty simple.

    Either you take a PrE (and it's requirements) or you do not, flavor to taste.

    I am honestly confused at why you need build advice at all considering you have farmed the bajeezus out of the game already, and probably know more about builds than most people who would provide the advice.

    You are going to get a lot of advice along the lines of "Toughness is a must" and "CON is not a dump stat".

    I editet a thf dwarf cleri I played around with to horc. Took 1 level of rogue for 1w6+3 "sneak" damage and UMD and 2 Level of Fighter for more feats and more strength. Should be what you are looking for, the build has all you wanted. If you can afford an 36 point build you could raise wis and ditch the wis3 enhancement or raise int for more skills. If you have an +3 con tome and a 36 point build I would raise the starting con to 15.

    After running for some time on my wf fvs i got the idea that i wanted to try out a fvs on a horc. After some studying (not much to find on forums), i ended on building a horc 18 fvs, 1 fighter, 1 barbarian.
    Its pretty much fun to play, though i can feel the pain lacking 2 lvls behind a pure fvs build.

    Comparing this build to what u r looking for, it might be the answer to your needs.

    Enough levels of cleric to cast mass heal.
    Yep you will be there at lvl 20

    Ability to use medium / heavy armor. (that means evasion builds / WF is out).
    You get it from the fighter lvl.

    PA and PA enhancements (I believe that this narrows the race down to Horc).
    You gets the PA stuff activated with the barb lvl. as side effect you get the barb speed and sprint

    Proficiency with 2 handed slashing weapons (Falchion, Greataxe, Greatsword, etc etc) & improved crit: Slash.
    You get this from the fighter lvl.

    Enough HP to melee in most raid content without dying (Probobly 400-450+)
    Atm im at lvl 15 1. life. Not running with minos due to Sora Kell set, nor having other hp + items atm, im currently around 313 hp if i recall right. So +400hp should be possible.

    Enough SP to heal in most raid settings & content.
    Same as above. currently around 1100 sp at lvl 15 without any items. An estimate at lvl 20 with a gs sp item is around 2300 sp.

    A UMD score high enough to use most utility scrolls (teleport, fire shield, reconstruct, GH, mass invis, etc etc)
    Can be done. u might need to sacrifice skillpoints in balance. Dont waste any in concentration, run with quicken on instead. A GS sp item with + on cha skills can give you a +6 here on umd.

    Enough to-hit to at least reliably hit trash in epic difficulty.
    You got it without any problems.

    All important metamagics for a cleric (empower, quicken, maximize, empower healing).
    This build gives you 8 feat slots so with the 4 above u still have room for toughness, PA, Crit slash. the last could eventually be used for skill focus UMD for a nice +3 there.

    Again, concentration is mainly for scroll using at end game, since Quicken has nothing to do with scroll. I would rather sacrifice balance to get UMD (in his case) than dump down the concentration.

    Nobody's mentioned Half-Elves yet, so I'll do it. The pure Cleric in my sig is Casting specced, but with fighter Dilettante he can still swing any martial melee weapon, and when the mobs are sitting on their rears after a Greater Command, the DPS doesn't have to be the best to still be effective. I would think that you could do a more melee focused 18C/2[something] Half-Elf and take either fighter dilly for the two-handers or maybe rogue dilly for the sneak attack, but still have a decent SP pool for healing.

    Here's my build, working of Samulous's. It has intimidate as well as everything you mentioned.
    It's S&B, but you could easily switch out shield mastery for something else and go with your esos instead.

    This is a shame because the a WF LoB build not only fits your build requests perfectly, it's also very likely the strongest build in the game for what you're looking for.

    HO cleric 18 / ftr 2 seems the obvious choice to me. If melee-focused, go max STR and take Toughness, PA, IC Slash, THF x3, Emp Heal, Quicken, plus 1 more meta (probably Maximize). If caster-focused, go max WIS and take Toughness, PA, IC Slash, Emp Heal, Quicken, Maximize, Emp, Heighten, and something else (maybe Extend?). You can add a splash of something else if you don't mind giving up RS III if and when it comes out: e.g., rogue for UMD, barb for +10% run speed & +1 PA enh, monk or wiz for extra feat.

    EDIT: BTW, what are you TRing from?

    Here's a WIS-based cleric 17 / ftr 2 / rogue 1. Couldn't quite get max WIS since this build needs enough INT for max UMD & Concentration. Enhs need to be tweaked if you want to add, e.g., the Smiting line.

    HPs: add 60 for +6 CON item, 20 from Toughness item, 40 from Superior False Life, 10 from Draconic Favor, and 45 from GS item and you're up to 469 HPs. Add Yugo pot & +2 CON ship buff and you'll be over 500, not counting temp HPs from Aid, Greater Heroism, etc.

    I wouldnt go for UMD as a Horc battecleric, its just too costly to get the skillpoints with base 6 int, plus you need to splash rogue or bard which wont help you in any other ways (trapskills need even more skillpoints, evasion wont work in medium armor).

    Just go 19/1 or 18/2 cleric/fighter, which fits very well with your esos and medium armor preference. I actually prefer 19/1 even for melee-focused clerics, the aura will tick higher and the 2nd fighter level just adds one feat and one point of str.

    stats like

    20 str + lvl ups (easily 36 with brawling gloves and +2 tome, more with your twinked-out gear)
    16 con
    14 wis
    8 cha

    dump int and dex, Skillpoints in concentration.
