    Default PALADIN: 34 pt build,help needed

    Hey guys,

    I'm about to TR into a pally (my first life was pally too), i'm going to make him exactly the same (THF,KOTC,pure DPS,with medium hitpoints,around 600)
    Now since i started out as 28pt build,i would like someone to suggest where i could put my extra points.
    Also i believe balance and umd are the best skills for a pally?
    I'm fine item-wise,just dont want to mess up my stats.

    I'd recommend putting 16 (max) build points in strength, 10-13 in charisma (enough ideally would be enough to hit 18 with tomes), and the rest in constitution.

    I would consider going TWF.
    But that's just me.

    16cha

    2 Levelups in Cha (or 1-0 depeding on +3/4tome)
    Rest in STR

    I have some +2 tomes that i'll be using when i tr,also hitting 20th shroud today so there is a pretty good chance for
    a +3 tome.

    So i decided to invest my points like this:

    STR: 17 base (+6 enhanced,+2 tome,+2 ship buff,+4 madstone rage)=31,a bit more if i get a +3 tome and perhaps a +7 enhancement.
    CON: 16 base (+7 enhanced,+2 tome,+2 ship buff,+4 madstone rage)=31, that number is quite alright,thinking that i also have hp greensteel item,epic augment for toughness (+20hp), and + superior false life.
    DEX: 8 .Won't be a TWF so don't need dexterity
    Int: 8 base.
    WIS: 8 base (+6 enhanced,+2 tome,+2 ship buff)=18,enough for me.
    CHA:16 base (+7 enhanced,+2 tome,+2 ship buff,+2 from action points)=29,even up to 30 if i get my hands on a +3 tome.

    So would you think this build is ok? My current build is great at epics/raids/high level quests.

    I went with

    STR 17 (all level ups)
    DEX 8
    CON 14
    INT 10
    WIS 8
    CHA 17 (had +3 tome from my first life so was able to hit CHA 20 for Divine Might IV)

    If you don't have +3 CHA tome, put 1 level up to CHA instead of STR if you go with these stats.

    i am going to tr my ranger into a twf pally and i am considering drow for easyer stats but i guess for thf the +2 dex is a waste

    10 to 13 build points.
    Thats 16 or 17.
    got confused cous i saw 16 base cha

    It is indeed, but in my opinion the 2 extra damage is not worth the investment on a THF character given that bumps to strength give nearly the same damage boost while also adding to-hit. Other's mileage may vary, of course, and there is certainly nothing wrong with getting DMIV if you can swing it.

    I was also hedging my advice a little bit since the OP did not say what class they were planning to play, which can make a large difference in how much you want to invest in charisma.

    Most ppl aim for divine might 4, which is expensive both in tomes/build pionts an action pionts. I personally prefer just running DM3 an put the extra pionts into str or con.
    Most ppl call me Az. Captains crew on G-land.

    Completely agree for a THF build. Because THF benefits from Str x 1.5 to damage. So every Str bracket you go up by +1.5 damage and +1 to hit. While every DM bracket goes up 2 damage. So another bracket in DM is only .5 more dmg than another bracket in Str. Just too expensive and not worth it for a THF Paladin.

    Charisma is not only about divine might, you know. Bumps up your saving throws and UMD skill, so while I wouldn't go crazy over it I'd personally go with at least 14 (16 being what I went with on my 34 point human paladin) charisma, even if you have access to a +3 or +4 charisma tome.
