It's good for making mobs incap. Typically it was the opposite of good for once the mob was incapped since rapier is only x2; however with the upcoming changes to incapped mobs, this really isn't an issue anymore.

In content where mobs are vulnerable to stat-damage dual +5/+3 Icy Burst WoP rapiers kill stuff faster than greensteel or vorpals. How they'll be in U9 I cannot say.

Regarding value I got the +5 WoP rapier for 3 large devil scales I think and that was about 8 months ago?

I suspect the auto crit change is the final nail in the coffin for the once most sought after weapon in the game. I'll still get an adrenaline hit if I get a rapier in a chest though...

I don't think so, you're not losing that much damage on a weapon that crits on a 15 with the 50% damage increase compared to an auto-crit. Sure you take a hit, but it's not as bad as picks.

They're still leveling weapons as Epic Ward maintains it's stupid-high resistance to stat damage in U9.

The WoP/Wounding Bow on the other hand are now a big bucket of meh because of their high multiplier and lousy crit-range.
