Given the new PrEs and the changes to death effects, a lot of people might be interested in respecing a few characters. This would seem to be a very good time to put the LR/LR+1/LR+3/LR+5 hearts on sale...

Which means, of course, that they will wait a month or so to put them on sale. Those that can't wait to respec will pay full price and the release will show as a huge financial success for Turbine...

I have to agree with Stormanne. You don't put a sale when folks want/need/dying to get them; you put one to drive the sales when it's not moving as fast at you like.
E.g. release of most books/movies etc in the first week are always at full or higher price. :P

most likely pattern that will follow.
1. New prestiges released.
2. Players pay full price.
3. Sale numbers drop off as every one has respeced.
4. Sale on Hearts of Wood.
5. Sale Ends
6. New Prestiges are deemed too powerful and are nerfed.
7. Players buy hearts of wood to respec out of the prestige.
