    Default Favored Soulo

Disclaimer: I'm just seeking advice on how to improve this particular build. I know bugger all about Favored Souls. Be nice!

Hi everyone. I was messing around with the character planner during downtime this morning and I thought I'd give a Helf FvS a try. Why Helf? Mostly for the Sorc dilly feat, but also for imp. recovery to help the sp last a little longer and the Undying Court feats/enhancements.

I would like feedback on anything that would improve this build. I listed the spells as well, keeping in mind that I replaced spells like deathward and spell resist with their "mass" versions later on. I also chose spells to help keep me alive. Just me. I realize It might not be end game viable, but hey, it is my first shot at it. Have at me! Bash it, smash it, roll it in a ball, I don't care. Just as long as when we're done here I have a nicely rounded character that can solo sufficiently and be viable in a group when need be.

Yes, helfs are fuglier than the backside of an unwashed elephant. That's what they invented helms for.

The main thing I would say is to pick a focus and stick with it. So if you want to melee, then you should max strength and go with that. If you have a +2 dex tome, you should start with a 15 dex and put no lvl up points into it. Feats are so tight you might consider going thf though. With thf you are free to pick the longsword religion for the awesome capstone and still use a nice weapon.

Fvs are pretty starved for feats, but if you want to go twf the feats I would pick are:
twf, itwf, gtwf, extend, maximize, empower (or power attack), toughness

If you are going helf I would take either monk dilly (healing amp for free capstone heal) or rogue dilly (3d6 sneak attack damage).

You might consider going human for the extra feat and healing amp also.

The sorc dilly doesn't really get you much. You can already cast and just putting points into umd each time as you lvl up will allow you to get to the lvls needed for most arcane scrolls you would want to use.
