Default Whats the best item for me to work for? (Smugglers)

I don't plan on spending lots of time trying to get a bunch of items. Just one will suffice. Maybe ill upgrade my pirate hat, but is there a point if Ill be getting a minos helm? Maybe make it a haggle/charisma hat? I am a level 9 ranger, 1 fighter, 1 rogue. TWF Tempest. Any help would be great! This is my first toon with ddo, so im still a bit of a noob. My base stats are...

    18 Str
    14 Dex
    16 Con
    8 Int
    10 Wis
    8 Chr

    Equips
Head: Wise hat of Power VI
    Neck: Siren's Charm (+4 con)
    Trinket: Fragment of Silver Flame
    Goggles: Raven's Sight (Wis +2)
    Gloves: Charged Gauntlets (str +2)
Armor: +1 Sacred Mithril Chain of improved False Life
Ring 1: Sacred Band (Wis +4)
Ring 2: Ring of the Mire
    Cloak: useless
    Bracers: useless

ANY help would be appreciated! I did like the Buccaneer Ring. I'd replace that with my sacred band. I heard the bold trinket is nice too.

    Equips
Head: Wise hat of Power VI
    Neck: Siren's Charm (+4 con)
Trinket: Fragment of Silver Flame see armor
Goggles: Raven's Sight (Wis +2) why when you are wearing the +4 ring?
Gloves: Charged Gauntlets (str +2) keep these on but get +4 str item ASAP
Armor: +1 Sacred Mithril Chain of improved False Life see if you can scratch together 10K or so to pick up a dusk heart. will take over your IFL and give you a bit more defense
Ring 1: Sacred Band (Wis +4)
Ring 2: Ring of the Mire eh better stuff available
Cloak: useless resistance or protection. also makes a great charisma swap spot for any UMD you need.
Bracers: useless great slot for a higher + str item
    Other notes.
    Fortification, Fortification, Fortification.
I suggest dropping your +4 con necklace for a +4 con belt and go get yourself the necklace from A Relic of a Sovereign Past for heavy fort. get 10 ores and get this
Nightforge Gorget - Necklace: Heavy Fortification (10 Adamantine Ore). unless you have access to the orchard and can get the tapestries for your Minos

If you can get the duskheart then you can take off the IFL armor for a deathblock or even fortification if you don't fell like running relic for the nightforged or grinding taps for a minos.

Thanks loads! I forgot to mention my belt: Siren's Belt. Which gives 5 ac, disease immunity, and a set bonus of +2 insight bonus to ac, +1 insight bonus to saves

I would like the keep my siren set, or is that not worth it?

you are getting 5 ac from your chain.
the +2 insight? eh its o.k. but your AC probably isn't all that great that and extra 2 really matters.

it doesn't matter so much if you keep the siren set and wear a robe or drop the set for a better suit of chain.
most important thing is to get your fortification ASAP. then work on a str item. I think minos is an ml 10 and nightforge is a ml 9 (could be off on the MLs) so find some mod fort in the meantime. comes on outfits, rings or belt.

I was thinking of an upgraded bold trinket. +1 damage, exceptional seeker +2, some other affect?

Where are details on these items and what they cost?

I play a ranger too and at higher levels without heavy fort, most mobs will own you in 2-3 hits. I would suggest getting the Cutless (depending on your alignment) or Bold Trinket.

I think it depends on how long you think it will take to get Minos (or Relic of Sov. Past as someone else suggested.) It's pretty easy to farm this event with a decent group to get the coins and shards you'll need to build a Heavy Fort hat. One benefit of having it on the hat - if you ever decide to TR, you can use it at level 9 on your next life (2 levels before you can use your Minos if you get one)

Lots of good choices in this one, though - now that I've built the Heavy Fort hat for my level 9 cleric (with +10 Balance as well) I don't know what to try and build next
