Favored Soul -primer search

Hello, I'm a super new player.
I have no real life experience with D&D, but i LOVE Baldurs Gate ^^

I need some direction from you guy's. I would love to play a Favored Soul but i can hardly find any good guides on the internet which explain skills and which spells to pick and so on....i would hate to level my toon jsut to find out later in the game that i should have put more points in wisdom instead of dex or something.

Not to play favorites, but I think these are threads dedicated to the most popular FvS builds. You were looking in the wrong place. The best place to find builds is on the forums. =D

FvS 20 Warforged - Melee Focused, Greatsword

Evoker FvS 20 Human - Evocation Focused Offensive Caster

FvS 18/Monk 2, more solo focused, offensive caseing, melee-capable, and healing

FvS 20, Two-Weapon Fighting

There's probably a healbot build as well, where you max out charisma, but I have a cleric for healbot purpose.

Ultimately it comes down to whether you you want to do melee combat and heal, or whether you want to do offensive casting and healing. All builds need CON. Melee will require high STR, most likely at the expense of low WIS (Read: lower spell DCs) for offensive spells (and you'll most likely be warforged for the Greatsword proficiency granted by that race). Offensive casting will require high WIS (Read: Higher Spell DCs), which will most likely come at the expense of lower STR. Two-weapon fighting (TWF) will require 15 or higher DEX.
