I'd like to sign up for a Titan spot. I've been once- and toddled around after some folks who seemed to have been doing it for years. I got a vague sense of it but didn't really learn it.

I'd like to bring my rogue Ebberley, but if we're going at level I can bring something smaller.

So do other AOEs affect the rats, or just bard songs?
For Tomb of the Tormented, three things make the quest much, much easier: A ranger can use Wild Empathy on the wolves and carcass eaters; A blade barrier will damage the wolves and carcass eaters; a rogue can disable the traps.

Truthfully though, the biggest problem I've had with Tomb of the Tormented is having more than one maze solver. Inevitably, someone gets impatient or doesn't listen to directions and decides he can help with the mazes, thereby messing it up and forcing a do-over. If you want to learn how to do the mazes, it's best go in with someone who has done them a few times before and follow along. You don't have to memorize the mazes, you just have to learn the few tricks to timing the rats so that they avoid traps and how to flip switches to get where you want to go.

Pro Tip: The carcass eaters and wolves can't see rats that are behind them. Use that to your advantage.

My toon is Kylenor (ranger lvl 17, gimped). Flagged for both Titan and Von.

Actually I don't mind running any quest that is put up here, even the ones I didn't list - it's always nice to take a tutorial walk through one. Unless it's filled up with other students who needs to learn it more.
Dude, don't miss work because of this. It's just a game. We'll find another time that's more suitable for you.

Ebberly is in. As a matter of fact, I remember that name. It may have been my Titan that you were in before, when it was a non-training run.

As we're on the Khyber forums, that would be correct.

Bonus Pro Tip: If you have the stones for it, there is a chest in the maze that you can reach after killing the end boss. But you need to be able to navigate yourself through the maze (flipping switches and all) to get there

Thanks for the link to the vids, I'll check them out.

As for the Titan raid, any chance of getting one done at a European-friendly time?

As you can see from the fact that I've been intermittently posting here all night, that shouldn't be a problem. I would say Saturday is perfect for a late night of gaming for me, but that will screw up my timer for the following Tuesday, and Titan really needs at a bare minimum two runs.
Once to learn green side and once to learn red [on purple side].
Blue and yellow are easy and can be explained over voice to anyone on those sides, but green absolutely needs a teacher there, and while red can be figured out by newbies with a clue, it's exponentially easier if someone in red knows what's going on.

Once we get these couple of runs in I'll do something more euro-friendly. Give me a few weeks.
What would be a good time? Translate it to central time for me please [GMT -6].

Cale, you know if I'm not in one of my raid-trains, or one of my own training wheels runs, I'm available for your stuff. I'm good with all the raids (Titan Red side is a weakness, but I'm gangbusters with Green). Look for me to start doing Inexperienced Toon Welcome Raid Trains as real LFM posts in early March as I wait for a few Game/Guild/RL commitments to work themselves out.

Ah, maybe I didn't word it correctly. I'm not actually working or taking leave. I'm doing research work by myself, and tend to do stuff in the morning and leave night as my "off-time". So I can just rearrange my daily routine a bit, and just shift some work for later. It shouldn't be a problem unless something comes up and I'm required to be someplace.

    Default Thank you

    Cal,

I love the idea that you are going to do this, I need to sign up for well everything

I am flagged for von, I think I have done it once. To be honest, it was a push to get eng to 20, so now that she is, I am slowing down and trying to learn. I can honestly say I am flagged for everything but abbot. I just got my TOD boots about 2 weeks ago, but haven't been in a guild run yet to even attempt.

For me learning I like to learn the first time with people I know, so I can ask questions, and take my time. I don't know about anyone else, but my learning curve is first run, I am trying to just keep alive, 2-4, ok I get that, and then its clicks.

I am on the west coast, so it might be tough for me to get in any, due to the fact I don't get home until 6 pst

I saw that, I ran my first VON ever on one drunken run, there were deaths posted but to be honest all I remember from that is.. missing the jump they told me to take..

Since my first runs are going to be drunk, I know for a fact I will not be any help, but then again maybe it will be better

I can handle shroud, hound.. so anything you can teach me will only help (that is if I remember in the morning, depending on how much vodka I consume)

There seems to be some interest in a VoN as well. You weren't the first to mention it. So I'll do a VoN run this Sat.
    We'll need 2 people with a 25 Str and 2 people with a 20 Wis.
Anyone interested sound off here and tell me if you meet one or both of the stat reqs.

    VoN 5-6 training
    Saturday Feb 19
9 pm central [once again -6 GMT]

Once again a secondary teacher would be nice for the opposing side.
And now that I think about it, two people that know the quest well enough and/or are willing to pike on tower levers would be great, so that newbies trying to learn don't have to get left behind. The majority of the quest happens before and after this point, with not much time spent on this, so if someone is willing to do this speak up.

    1. Calebro [toon TBD] - teacher
    2. bluwaterseawitch [Eng - Pally, spot saved for now]
    3. SirenVisigoth [Ittybitty - Monk]
    4. learst [Kylenor - Ranger]
    5. MalakRevan [Falutin - Pally] - teacher
    6. flynnjsw [Cmbtcorpsman - FvS]
    7. Crulax [Epicnoob - Monk] lever piker
    8.

    LOL!
Whenever I get stuck doing that puzzle I just fumble my way through it. It gets done eventually. That puzzle is my weak point in that raid as well.

Cale...the only problem with the Sat. 9PM Cent start is that is the time I run with our guild for the scheduled Abbot. I'll only do one run on that, however, and if there is still any room left I should be able to join you either on Hordiva or Hordorc, unless we don't do a VON on the Friday Night drunken run, in which case Hordeau, my cleric, will be available.
