So i seen where Star Wars: The old republic is slated to come out Q2/Q3 of 2011. I seem to always go off and try out the next new game and was wondering if anyone else has had their eyes on this one?

Wow!
I've had my eye on this one for a while now, i will definitely give it a shot.
It's a Bioware game, of course I'm going to play it.
Even though I'm very afraid that a second MMO is going to take way too much time away from my single-player games.
I'v been watching it for awhile, not a hug fan atm just looks like any other MMO out really.
Pve looks stale and boring
I dont see much in making a character pretty much wow with less classes
Graphics are cartoonish
I like Star Wars but I'm not a fan of MMOs that are pretty much like the last, play it for a month and quit.
Being Bioware is the only reason I am watching it and might try it.
I am torn between my love of starwars and bioware and all the fun i'm having on ddo. i dont like to play 2 mmo's at once. I'm hoping they'll start letting vip's buy adventure packs or i'll just keep saving points, buy all i can and go f2p to play star wars.
Even though I love Bioware and what they do, I just can't do it. RIH Lucas....Jar-Jar, *** were you thinking?
Aeolwind (5/12) - 18 Sorc/1 Art | Melisandria - 20 Fighter SD | Anlona - 20 cleric RS
I've been keeping a eye on this one & will give it a go at launch, But I will not give up my DDO nope nope nope we wont
~~The House of Caedes~~Thelanis Server~~Krune~~Krunex~~Krunem~~Krunez~~ & many more " You can have my Dwarven Axe ,When you pry it out of my cold dead hand"~~" May your foes lay at your feet & your coffers be full"~~
At the same time this is slated for launch, so is Neverwinter. It's going to be a tough year for MMOs and me, as I do intend on trying them out while still maintaining my characters here.
Sarkiki - Orexis - Pallikaria - Epithymia - Musouka - Empnefsi | Cannith Server
Dont have high hopes for even being decent from what I have seen but will give it a try and hope it gives me a nice surprise.
Beware the Sleepeater
I have been watching the videos and it really has my attention. Having crew members that can craft whether or not your online is really cool. Being quest driven in a why that your answers to questions and your actions determine your path does as well. The "Heroic Combat" (which looks similar to ddo with the movement involved) also catches my eye.
I am going to give it a shot and we will see where we are when the dust settles. At least i have bought all my packs here and can come back anytime.
Wow!
Warhammer 40k MMO. I'd like some details first about what it really does, but I've always been a sucker for the universe. Plus I played the tabletop version some 38k years ago, giving me a taste for a RPG adaptation.
This.
I am really excited about GW2 for a couple of reasons:
1. Persistent world.
2. Semi-personalized story arc.
3. Player housing.
4. Lack of "Holy Trinity" style combat. (tank, healer, dps)
I am looking forward to it, love DDO, but wish there was a little more stuff to do in Eberron outside of questing and raiding.
I hope its nothing like Warhammer online. That game was bad! Fun for a little while but after a while it just got old. The "Public Raid" areas (i.e. areas where if you walked into, you were in a raid and automatically partied with the ppl in the area).were very cool but the scaling didn't work well at all and it was very hard to beat them.
Wow!
From the website:
Well, there goes any chance of me playing Neverwinter Nights, I loved all past BioWare games (Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights), but the fourth edition rules just ruined it for me.Neverwinter is a true Dungeons & Dragons experience based on the acclaimed 4th Edition rules -- a first of its kind!
Have you ever wanted to create your own customized user interface skins for DDO?

Bioware is involved in SW:TOR, not the new Neverwinter game. That's all Atari and Cryptic, both of which have, at best, a mixed reputation. When you add in 4e, you've pretty much killed all of my interest. I suppose if it bowls everyone over I might check it out, but I play D&D video games because I like the feel and sytems. I had my issues with 3.x, but I thought it did more right than it did wrong. 4e took the things I liked best about 2nd and 3.x and tossed them in the garbage heap then took the parts I liked least and gave them center stage. It will take a really good game to make me overlook the system.
