Feats: Ditch Diehard for Luck of Heroes. IMHO, Diehard is great if you get it for free (i.e. Rangers), but not worth spending an actual Feat on.

Also, with Kukan-Do and Stunning Fist, Stunning Blow is almost overkill. Unless you are dead-set on it, another Toughness wouldn't hurt.

Enhancements: You may not want to take RotP. Improved Recovery III already qualifies you for Shintao II (if that's what you were going for) and you can use those enhancement points elsewhere (stances for better strikes, racial toughness, etc.). Same goes for it's prereqs. Sure, it's nice if you're the only one left standing, but if you compare it to it's Dark Path Equivelant (ToD), it's really not worth the AP you have to spend to get it.
    RainbowBrite Assassination Squad: Ehmbyr - 20Monk, Vyoleht - 18Rang/2Fight, Jaiyhd - 20Cler, Tohpahz - 6Rang/3Rog, Obsydean 4Barb/2Fight, Sahfyre - 4 FvS

Stunning fist is a pre-req for shintao as well

Yeah, but it's a Required Prereq, not one of the "Requires one of" prereqs.

Stunning Blow, however, is not (if that's what you were referring to).

I didn't even realize that you could ditch RotP, I skimmed past it and thought it was required along with Improved Recovery III. I also realized later that Stunning Blow was overkill, in a revised version I'll post later I took it off.

rise of the phoenix also loses a lot of it's awesome when you consider that greensteel tier 2 clickys, while not exactly cheap (you can farm the mats yourself, but then you're basically spending resources that you could have sold for a bunch of plat, which is not much different from spending plat in the end), they're not all *that* hard to craft either.

Yeah rotp is not really worth it when Imp recov 3 gets u the same thing plus goes right into the whole self healing thing for light monk. My light monk is very much like this. Horc shin monk. I started my stats a bit differently but I had a few extra +3 tomes so I changed things up a bit. Yeah stunning blow is just so slow and the dc isn't really high enough without running pots to jack your stats up.

Kukan do and stunning fist are more than enough

Isn't Orc Melee Damage only applied when using 2handed weapons? So, wouldn't help with handwraps?

I have something very similar. At lvl 16 at the moment, but he is a complete beast. I'd definitely take stunning blow AND stunning fist as you'll cycle through them easily until you get kukan-do. I hit stun fist, stun blow, then fists are up again usually with a slight pause before stunning blow is up again. When kukan-do comes around (which I haven't reached yet) you might ditch stunning blow... but something tells me I'll keep it.

I also took Diehard, which has served me well. At low levels, when I was soloing a lot (often on elite) I was surprised how many times it saved my butt. I tend to be lazy at chugging pots and/or bringing a hireling in lowbie land and was mostly relying on Fists of Light, so your mileage may vary.

Shizmonkey (OG Grand Poo-Bah of R.O.G.U.E. 1st edition) and other various ShizAlts
R.O.G.U.E. Proving Grounds Redux is now defunct. Check out Part Quatre

i like ninja spy better, but that is mostly a good build. as a tr'd h-orc, with past life monk, i had almost the same stats but i think my starting wis was 16 and my con 14.

i took dodge [for ninja spy] and another toughness, in place of IC:B, and diehard.

if you are set on shintao, i understand, but i loved leveling up with shadow fade and touch of death. it was great, and i mostly solo'd (with hirelings often).

i almost want to tr into the same build again
