Why isn't your Barbarian a Half Orc?

I have a WF Barb and I can tell how happy and elated I am whenever I get that "IMMUNE" pop out of my head - especially in the heat of the battle!

Well thats not gonna happen in H-Orc!

But again , I think WF need more immunities and resists for the amount we are paying! Not good enough ;p

Because I don't want it to be a half orc.

I am getting tired of people constantly thinking HO is the only race for a melee toon and asking why I TR'd into a WF barb instead of a HO barb. While HO barbs do have more dps, they are not the only race for a melee. Other races have advantages that HO can't get.

It' going to be okay, but people are never going to quit asking you this question. Somewhere in the forums there is an epic bean counter. Soon he will probably visit your thread and give you a perfect mathmatical reason that he believes will clear up your question.

By the numbers a strong argument can be made for the HO dps build, and many people seem to feel that the best way to get the most out of any barb is going for pure DPS.

I played my way through over 90% of my questing as a sorc, running with only one other person, A human barb. The two of us pulled off things that I have seen four people fail doing. Her build is exelent for running without a cleric by just having enough HP to muscle through, and she has hauled my stone to the shrine alot.

The point is, build a character with how you will be using it in mind. Pay attention to the numbers, and be able to hold up the part of a quest that is expected of your class. If you can do that, then quit worring about what people ask and just enjoy your build.

I love my dorf barb. I made him just to have some fun with the Hellstroke, but now that he's getting up in levels, I just like seeing big numbers without having to burn a blue bar for 'em.

OTOH, people ask my Drow Barbarian why I am not a half orc all the time.

The simple answer is some people like the flavor of RP in an RPG and don't go for Min/max builds.

WF are not ugly if they're male. They are very ugly if they are female. I think I have about 7 of them now and they're *all* male...

And you don't need WF to tank VOD and TOD. Don't get suckered into that. (She says. After just having spent the last 10mins looking at Suulu's groin in TOD on a WF)

I must admit the broken anima nation or whatever it is for the horc barb compared with my WF barb makes the horc feel really dumb to play.

I laughed out loud at this. You do not NEED a wf to tank those raids EVER. Certain party configs make completing some raids and some epic raids easier if you have toasters in the group. There are numorous other party configs that work too depending on the skill level of the pug. The reason i point this out is not to pick on your it is to educate. The ammount of need WF to tank for vod LFMs is disgusting and If people do not comment on this misconceptionit will never get better.
