    what for?

The rewards are ridiculous. Or are you hoping they become epic one day?

I sold a batch of 800 on Canith for 40KPP and another batch of 700 for 35KPP. Both of these through the trade channel. I was just responding to a person spamming ads for these things. Not sure why people are so enamored by these.

I might guess something people haven't thought of appears on the reward list...Favor tokens, Festivult coins maybe, something like that.

Likely, quick favor. Usually you get the 50 favor or 150 favor rewards... on occasion, the 500 favor rewards when you spend the coins in there. Best bet, opt for the 50 antique coin items and try your luck. They don't always appear in the loot.

    My Test:
Masia Imports..... with 3900 antique coins.... 50 Coins a throw (did Docets...and sold them afterwards for $$$)
And about 30 mins later... 2,850 favor...plus some pocket change.

    I pulled:
    Heroic = 32
    Tales of Valor = 5
    Impressive Trophy = 1

    To the OP...

Try looking on the AH.... might be some there. ...but they go quick.

After my quick test above, I stopped keeping track, but do save/grab them. A decent way to make extra guild favor if you have them... but IMO most people leave those purple bags laying around the desert/or leave the unnamed stuff in chests... so kinda tedious to use this a a method to gain guild favor. If you want favor that bad and fast.... go run Stormcleave or Tempest Spin a few times with your guild.

    Happy Hunting.

Then again (after seeing his response while I put this together....), he may just be looking for uber-level loot.

There are often some of these up on the AH. I do bid on them and look to pay what you are offering, but it can be tough, as people ask for 100pp/token a lot.
In fact, there were 2000 up for auction yesterday and sitting at 20kpp going into the last 15-20 minutes. They ended up selling for 100k, which was too much for me, both in value and exceeding my plat count. There are sometimes bargains to be had, but I'm always looking for them too, so we'll be driving the price up for each other.

We use them to boost our guild renown, as we are a small guild. using the 75% renown boost pots, I've pulled a couple of Legendary Victories, to net about 6k renown. Had 1000 tokens to trade and got like 12k renown in all, which is a good return. I find it too random for the loot to be spending money on, but occasionally something good is there and I'll take it, otherwise there is always renown.

I'd generally advise you not to bother bidding on them, because you are making my life more difficult for me!

p.s. Never pulled better than a +5 stat item, and that was on my first trade in too.

So is it better, money wise, to sell them to guilds looking for renown, or to trade them in?

My gut tells me they gotta be worth more than face value to renown seekers than to regular folks.

Thanks for the great tip! I gave it a try and would suggest using a lower level character when doing this. Level 11 worked out that I'd get a renown option on every turn in.
On my lvl 20 I got no renown after 6 turn-ins. Which makes me think the turn in "quest" has a level which affects the renown reward option (much the same way quest rewards do).

If you do a quest over-level, the chances of renown are vastly reduced. Token hand-ins are the same as a quest reward list and the level range is 9-15, so anything over that isn't going to give you much in the way of renown.

I don't think you can hand them in under lvl 9 either. I was told this, but my lowest level toon at the time was lvl 9, so I couldn't really test it and I've not rolled another yet.
