Ok, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT card and it has a S-Video on it so, my question is this, Should I get a flat screen with Vertical Resolution: 720p or Vertical Resolution: 1080p??? I really could use so help with this. thx.
Get a 1080P for your computer, and make sure it has an HDMI port. You can buy a DVI->HDMI cable to connect them. If you use S-Video, it doesn't matter what TV resolution you have, since I think it maxes out at 480I.

As via specifications:
HDMI Via adapter
As you can see your card has two DVI ports. You can purchase a cable that has the DVI connector and HDMI output connector.
Your card can handle 1080p, so go for 1080p minimum.
Nvidia cards usually have the SPDIF connecter on the circuit board internal to the PC, not the faceplate, so the onboard sound is usually your best bet. Of course, we really need to know what the OP is hooking the sound to. If it is just the tv, he just needs a splitter for the speaker jack.
