Default First Chile Mine Worker Rescued!

It is amazing after 69 days and 2000 feet of depth, an amazing feat has been pulled off at least for one of the miners so far!

It really does go to show that even after a tragedy such as this mine collapse was... when our race comes together we can truly pull off some amazing feats of ingenuity.

After all of these men emerge from the darkness they have lived in for over 2 months, I can only imagine the new outlook on life all of them will have for the rest of their days.

Great news. I've been following their story and it seems that one of the men has a digruntled wife who met his mistress while waiting for his rescue near the site.

Here's to hoping they can adjust to fresh air again.

I've been sitting here watching this unfold for the last few hours on Fox News and I hope that the rest of the rides back to the surface go as smooth as the first one seemed too.

I am amazed at the resilience of the Chilean people, even after recently being struck with an Earthquake, and the efforts of the people to rebuild and help each other out. I saw their own Telethon for the Earthquake Victims and the millions of dollars they obtained for their fellow country men, to help them and to rebuild their country.

Now with 32 miners trapped, who in past decades would have been lost men, the efforts and ingenuity and perseverance of these people, yes along with the help of countless countries and agencies have achieved a incredible success.

My heart and admiration goes off to all these people.

being trapped and making it out, incredible.

being a rescue worker that voluntarily went down that hole 2,000 feet to make sure they got out? Heroic and brave...real guts to do that.

    very impressive human activity.

Wish we saw that from our local leaders to end modern slavery...that would be even more awesome.

    chile for the win.

To endure being trapped underground and for so long is just awesome.
And that's in the real world, here in ddo i have seen people here panic when left behind and alone on coalescence chamber.
Let alone all those who just ragequit, when rescue is 5-10 minutes away.
