Resists and absorbtion stack with each other.

+6/+1/+2 Cha is an option but costs larges and will be obsoleted once you can craft ToD rings.

are those pretty much the only things that are worth getting on the scepter?
if so id rather just not spend time getting it. absorption doesnt seem worth it for the money it costs to make it, and probably not charisma if i can get it on tod rings.

Triple Positive Maul: Holy+GoodBurst+30% healing amp.
    Good for beating on portals
    Good for beating on liches
30% healing amp (unless you're warforged with self repair).
    Rez clicky.

But really... not all that worth shroud items/power shards if you have melees or haven't made an SP and an HP item.

Absorption of one variety or another only works for a few situations and most of those sitations, you should strive to not get hit in the first place. (ToD kiting, Abbot Inferno, Dragon breath etc).

Putting CHA on a scepter is only worthwhile if you plan a number of TR's and want early access (L12) to +9 cha. Though most people multiple TR'ing one arcane class multiple times go with wizard.
