    Default Turbine Customer Service Does Listen!

    After weeks of issues with the store double and triple charging people (note: we DID hit the buttons), see threads:

    So I screwed up...

    Careful with your credit card and Turbine's store

    Cancelled account, done in feb

    Turbine came through! I received this Thursday.

    Well done Turbine. Well done. And they left me the extra points to date as well, although I would NOT recommend this strategy if you're married and have to explain charges to your wife...

    Glad to see they took care of you; now you just have to make sure that some of the people that got all upset "for you" see it lol.

    So is that MrWizard guy, or whomever, who quit on principal for the way turbine was treating others so badly regarding this incident now going to re-activate his subscription w/DDO?

    Really i think this all stems from people being impatient.

    they want something from the store... badly, and they simply CANNOT wait a moment longer to get it. =)

    So they buy some points, and when they arnt delivered that second they click the button... they click it again.... then again.... making Multiple purchases... i belive it even says do not click more then once.

    Its not Turbines fault your impatient. Its also not Turbines fault you made multiple purchases. The information on your orders is readily available. They just arnt always delivered instantly.


    And the people who slam Turbine as a "Bad company" or an "Scam Site" are so far off base its in the ridiculous realm. Turbine is a solid company with solid games, that are quite popular.



    Soooooo.......

    Simple solution would be to do what i do. Buy a nice amount of TP's (When you dont want anything) nothing crazy... but keep a thousand or two on you, so when you see that nice item... you can buy it instantly.

    You have no idea what you are talking about Legohaiden and obviously didn't take the time to read the posts before posting. Take some time and read. Be patient. You'll get it. Oh wait, that's kind of the advice you were giving us.

    Key point: The store thought for several minutes then returned an error, at which time another transaction was attempted. If there had been no error screen, this would have had a different result.

    Please read the posts before passing judgment.

    Wow, after how many weeks did they finally decide that maybe having a bunch of angry nerds reporting them to the credit agencies might be bad for business and instead performed basic customer service, much like you'd get, say, anywhere?

    Well sh!t we should get them a trophy now shouldn't we.

    Hi all.

    I did not have to wait three weeks for an answer. I got mine in around 3 days.

    I asked if their policy provides for no refunds in the case of errors in the store.
    I pointed to his thread and mentioned many others.

    I said if that is the case, they should cancel my account and take out my card.


    They immediately responded with a 'bye' and canceled it all.


    Glad you got refunded. Guess they don't want me though, they specifically said it was their policy and took my account. Not much I can do about it.


    I wrote to account support after the cancel to make sure they knew what they were doing. Never got a response.

    Lucky for you, glad. Unfortunately, looks like I am out. Good luck with future errors.
    Nothing has really changed in this arena. You had to fight and fight and wait and wait for an obvious refund...
    And it is still very insecure. I do not want my card associated permanently with it
