I don't think you can get superior potency 6 on a randomly generated helm or ring. IIRC, a superior potency 3 helm is min lvl 13 or so.

I was really afraid I was going to get a response like that. Well, bummer. I thought the progression might scale to ML 17 or 19 if it was available.

I've never seen Potency on an item, only weapons, and on weapons, SP6 is ML:14.

Potency comes on plenty of slots- Randomly genned rings, helms and shields and named loot, like the Belt of Seven Ideals (Belt), Epic Mask of Tragedy, Amrath necklaces, etc.

Minimum levels for superior potency is MUCH lower on weapons than items.

Best I have seen on a helm is Superior Potency III on a helm. It had Diplomacy +3 and was ML 13.

Yeah, I can confirm it doesn't show up on random helms, since I went through this previously...however, you can upgrade your Silver Flame Amulet a 4th time, and get the:

(and then go back with a new amulet and upgrade it three times to get your necklace back)
