Recently, I've been getting asked why I'm using a repeater and why I wasted a feat on it. I'll just clearly and flat out state, I did not, have not, and will not ever get a the proficiency feat for the repeater.

Anyways, to the topic at hand. Why are the clerics still wearing maces, scepters, and clubs to fight? With the proper self buffing, Cleric is probably one of the most accurate classes in the game. Why some clerics aren't taking advantage of this is beyond me. Sure, you don't have a proficiency with a weapon, so that's a -4 to attack... big whoop.

Divine Power, Aid, Divine Favor, Greater Heroism Clicky, fairly high STR/DEX, and a +5 weapon. This combination totals for a ton of accuracy and getting a -4 to attack is just a drop in the the bucket.

I mean, even rogues without accuracy buffs can hit just fine with their proficient weapon. So why would an accurate class like Cleric be afraid of that -4 to hit penalty?

If you find a weapon you like but aren't really proficient at it, keep it and use it anyways! Chances are, you'll still be able to hit almost 100% of the time with it with the proper self buffs.
