OK Trudh... lets modify your example...
You are going to play golf with a buddy. He says to meet him at the golf course clulbhouse. You trun on your GPS unit in your car, hop in and drive on over followign the map. You don't quite understand the map, so you pull over, give your buddy a SMS and ask for clarification. With his reply an Epiphany! You get your self to the course without incident. Or you can keep the GPS off, drive all over creation, texting as you drive causing accidents everywhere you go..
The performance on the golf course is VoD and is unrelated to getting to the golf course. Your analogy was Terrible, -1 to you sir!

Analogy makes no sense sir. That analogy would make sense if it was a lvl 1 trying to get to VoD. Learning how to golf is much different than just knowing which way to go.
A better analogy would be not knowing the course. You could ask your friend who plays on the course every week the best option of shot/ club to use at a certain point but instead you don't ask him and you don't look at the course map that is given to you at the clubhouse and you hit the ball to wrong way or you don't realize the green is slanted in X way.
