This is where a good Light Monk comes in handy. On mine, I am usually casting the Earth Finisher on both the healers and the main tank, then running to a portal or a un-FTS orthon and getting ki back. The Hensin Mystic set comes in really handy here (+1 to my ki regen per hit makes sure I get back ki in a hurry. I can usualy go from empty to full in less then 30 seconds on a stunned mob). The trick is to establish a pattern for your finishers so you know exactly how much time you have left (I usually cast on clerics first, then tank. I center myself on the clerics for casting so I have the timer on my screen).

of course this is all assuming you hace a GOOD light monk. They are as rare as a good Battle-cleric.

Magic is a curious thing; full of hope and promise one minute, then someone summons a t-rex jet fighter to kill you.

When I lead a ToD, I usually ask light monks just to keep the healer types Grasped. A hate tank getting stunned doesn't really matter unless they are also their own healer, which is rare.

Spare Ki goes on keeping the Heavens aligned.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

This. Also, Heal removes any Stun effects, so as long as the healers aren't getting stunned they can just throw one on the tank as soon as someone calls out Banish.

Edit: It was a lot of extra work, but one idea I had that helps with ToD: un-suppress a pale lavendar ioun stone. The most annoying part about tanking that raid for me is running out of Haste, and having to wait until after a banish to refresh it. Switch the stone in, remove boots, haste, boots on, switch trinket back, and you're still protected from getting banished.

All done with Completionist (again) and Epic Completionist. First character to 30 on Sarlona* (before the rollback).

If it is a Hate-tank, yes. Intimitanks tend to loose agro easier, so Grasp would be a big help for them.

Because we 3-manned VoD a few weeks ago and my ranger was barely getting touched by Sulu. My Buffed AC with PA on was 72 (technically 75 though because of FE). We nailed him with Exhaustion scrolls first thing.

Arranticus said in another post 72 was the "safe" AC for sulu, it was an old post though.

Sure, but all that example shows is that the threshold isn't above 75. That test would give no information on how far below 75 it might be.

I was blocking a mostly to make it 72, but the orthons and devils weren't much of a test at all.

I figured instead of starting a new thread I would necro grodon's.

So what are the tresholds an ac tank should be going for n/h/e for the various raids?

    Thanks!
