Red Dragon Scale Raffle

Hey everyone,

With the relative success of the Red Dragon Scale Lottery, I figured that maybe we can start talking about the next event. We saw ~25 people interested in the Red Dragon Scale Lottery after I took up organization of it, and so I thought that maybe the next time we can change it to a raffle with different tiers of prizes. Now since there was 25 people and I'm sure we can find more (I heard a few in game interested), so I think the next time we can try for 50. A little ambitious I know, but if we don't get enough, then I'll permit double registration only if there are not more than 25 people interested, that way there's no bigger advantage for one person over everyone else.

I figure we can have ~5 different prizes:

Grand prize: 20 scales, 1 or 2 epic scrolls of choice
Second Prize: 13 scales, 1 epic scroll of choice
Third Prize: 8 scales, 100kpp
Fourth Prize: 5 scales, 50 kpp
Fifth Prize: 4 scales, 15kpp
Kitty Prize: 1 Epic Scroll of the Ironweave Robe

Place: Bog Water Tavern in House P allows for a place to use General chat (if the tavern doesn't have house p blah blah blah yackity schmackity in it) or a private channel to discuss winning rolls

Method: Gather participants inside of the bogwater and roll the 5 rolls (d50 roll). Only 1 prize chance per person*
*Discussion point: (per entry if multiple? or just one chance period?)

*Door Prizes or goodie bag things? (Say 15kpp for showing up? or other ideas?)

Buy In Cost: 1 Red Dragon Scale (mail to Rtwo - Then name will be marked green - AND POST ON HERE THAT ENTRY SCALE WAS SENT)

Optional Costs: Donations of items associated with different prize tiers.

edit:

- If less than 25 people are interested by 9 AM EST August 25th, 2010 the raffle will switch to all current participants being able to register for 2 spots.

- 2nd registrations still require scales to be sent in to ensure prize availability and 2nd winnings will then be allowed.

- If over 25 people then there will be a chance for buying 2nd placements, however the one prize winnings rule will take effect as not everyone will be able to buy a 2nd spot and thus your chances are greater than others' chances of winning.

People who register please post which epic scrolls you're looking for so that we can come up with a possible list for the donation of scrolls. Otherwise we'll just dump the 2nd prize and make it where it's just the scales.

The rarer scrolls I can understand if we are not up to donating them just based on chances of ever seeing one, but its at your discretion.

Just curious though, who is providing the epic scrolls, I mean everyone is going to ask for the same scrolls (chaosblade, marlith chain, torc, etc) I don't know too many people who have all of those laying around, and are willing to part with them.

You raffle is asking for 50 scales and giving away 60. Might want to check your math.

Other than that, my best advice is to just SAY what is going to happen; cause the more you leave it up to discussion the more time this nonsense will take.

The only way I'll do that is if all current members have another spare scale they'd be willing to send in and then they can purchase their extra spot and as soon as the last scale is received we'll adjust prize winnings and do dis! Otherwise we can wait until at least 25 and do it as is with an adjusted prize pool once again. *** get the word out all! -.-
