EverQuest II going free to play

However, when I play EQ2, I miss the freedom of movement of yer character. I miss being able to run and swing my weapons LOL.

BUT, I have the coolest horse in EQ2 and the lavacows from Lavastorm. Man that chain of quests was a pain in the butt but the lavacows are cool.

I did the free trial just recently. Wanted to see what New Halas looked like.

Its like a good version of Neriak. I finally get Neriak figured out....ick..

Think I'd just prefer to use Timorous Deep as the home city.

Oh they did away with Queens colony and freeport as starter cities.

Oh and they now have a travel map. If you wanna go somewhere, you go to the docks, click on the thingie, a map opens and you click on where you want to go and it zones you there.

What do you mean useless. My lvl 72 Shadowknight aint useless. If they did any type of nerfs, I haven't see it.

On the trial i did, I made a shadowknight...Haven't seen anything different...Other than trying to remember how to play it LOL.

I played EQ2 when it first came out. Our guild "Vagabonds" was the first to complete all of the raids and begin farming them, and they certainly didnt come out with new content quickly enough, becaus soon after that, many of the guildys left to play other games.

Ardent Legion was actually first - and it's likely that people would still be trying to figure out how to speak Draconic if the guys from Fallen hadn't posted a complete list of the runes. (For the uninitiated, the Speak Draconic quest was probably the single most annoying quest I've ever seen in a MMORPG bar none - you had to find 26 little 'runes' scattered throughout the entire game world with precisely zero clues beyond "find these runes").

With the implementation of Profit UI (reborn) that issue may be resolved.

It works in conjunction with the eq2 map updater so if you need to find a quest item you can search for it and it will show you where they are.
