GenCon?

I happen to have 8/5-8/8 off, and the kennel has room for my dire shaggydog, and I an seriously thinking GenCon.

I know, I know, its last minute, all the best events will be full, yada yada yada.

But still.

Is anyone else going? Is there anything officially DDO ongoing? Or officially Turbine? Or .... anything?

Nothing official from Turbine, they are headed to PAX instead. DDOcast is there though! We'll be trying to get as many DDO players as wish to take part to hang out on Friday night starting at 9pm Eastern at Jillians, located a few blocks from the convention center.

The worst part about "last minute" trips to GenCon is you'll essentially want to set aside one of the days to wait in line to pick up your ticket. Literally it could be a 5-8 hour wait in a line that snakes around the convention center. But if you can handle that there'll be plenty to see and do.

I'm pretty sure we also have a true dungeon ticket available if that interests you. See Steiner-Davion on the forums here for more info on that.

You might have an advantage in that most people will have spent most of the day waiting to get tickets, so by showing up towards the end of the day (convention floor-wise) you might be able to get in quickly. I don't think I'd spend a lot of money on a Thursday night event, but it's worth a shot.
