Default Colored Dots for players on map

Can each party member get its own colored dot on the map it is annoying having to mouse over the dot to find out who zerged ahead and who fell in the lava. If each player had its own color I could say oh Orange is zerg_noob he is the one who fell in the lava. Colors could be random or based on class, or decided by party leader. I need some way to glance up and see positions of party members on the map without the extra mouseover

I want to see a little speaker logo light up on the map buttons, so I can know where the person who is speaking is

Numbered dots, matching the F2-F6 buttons for the character.

I like all of these suggestions.

Few things are more frustrating than to have someone say on voice chat "Come over here" or "Stand by me" or "Go this way" when you have no idea who or where they are. If you miss the green text while they're talking, you are out of luck. If you have the map open trying to figure out the dots, you are out of luck. If your character is pointed in the wrong direction at the time, you are out of luck.

If the UI can't be changed to facilitate this, then players need to train themselves to refer to themselves in 3rd person and/or provide more useful directions.

That brings up another thing I suggested several years ago when DDO was in beta:

    * The colored outline for someone talking doesn't instantly turn off when he stops talking. Instead it fades out over a few seconds, so that you can see that he was recently talking.

    * In addition to an outline around someone's party-list entry, you can also have talking-indicators on map dots and over the heads of 3d models.

    Default semi-connected

The ability to hot-key an NPC that you are supposed to protect would be great, too!

Basically what could happen in those situations is the special NPC gets assigned to F7, as if he were a member of a raid group with you. That'd be automatic.
